Chapter 3 - The Beginning

This story consists of heart breaking moments in Stella's once simple life. Stella was born into a family of seven and had four siblings, her life was different from other peoples' because unlike them her life was very out of the ordinary. You may hear a lot of similar magical stories but this is my version of it, enjoy!

*STELLA*

We were receiving our Biology papers from last weeks test and I got an A+ as I always do. I was used to getting good grades, 'your brain processes information quicker than others' mom always said every time I passed a test- without even looking at my books. That always made Francesca - the smartest girl in class, after me of course always enraged. She glared at me when the teacher praised me, it wasn't my fault even if I got everything correct.

Stella received her paper and she looked like she was gonna burst. I looked over at her table in the front and saw she got an A-. Well that's not bad but she just likes beating me all the time.

"Ok now class we will discuss the test tomorrow but for now let's turn to the next chapter" our teacher Mrs. Wilson announced. "Who can tell me the topic we are going to discuss today, if you all can remember?"

I raised my hand to answer and Mrs. Wilson chooses me "The human heart" I proudly say

"Very good Stella as usual" I could see the tiredness in her eyes, she had kind of a gray aura. When I looked around some of the students seemed bored and irritated, it was obvious my smarts where unbearable to them. "Can anyone tell me the types of blood transported in the heart?"

I didn't say anything this time but France raised her hand and she got picked "Oxygenated and Deoxygenated blood"

"Very good Francesca". It went on that I just decided to answer more questions than her, I know I wanted to keep it low and not get death glared all the time but making France pissed was so much fun.

The bell rang and it was lunch time. I got my lunch and sat down and sighed what a day and it's not even over yet. Oh no here comes Mrs. Wannabe Perfect. I rolled my eyes as France approached me her aura looked kinda green with jealousy? Urggg lemme shake my aura thoughts away, it's not like it's useful right now.

"Stella my favorite person" she said sarcastically

"Wow really thank you so much but what's gotten into you? Does this mean you like me now?"

"I'm being sarcastic dummy"

"I know" I said as I smiled to myself

"

Finally it was after school and I rushed to the school gate. Even though I got attention from my good grades, I liked being alone. "HEY! Stella wait up". I heard a voice call me, it was Francesca herself.

 "What do you want Francesca?".

"I just wanted to say I think you cheated in the exam!" She shouted.

"Look, I don't have time for this". Some of us actually have lives! I wanted to say it but I didn't.

"NO! You listen, admit you cheated coz no one can get a perfect 100% like that every single freaking time".

She looked so mad, I didn't really need drama right now. France took my hand and tried to pull me back inside school, just then I saw something. It was France crying in a room that looked messy - too messy to be her room, shoes were everywhere, and all the clothes were scattered around, and I even saw a broken lamp! A woman who seemed to be in her late 30s picked up a vase next to her on the table and flung it right toward France.

France luckily ducked and the vase shattered on the ground leaving her stricken with fear. "I'm so sorry I'll try to be first next time mother."

It all made sense now, France's mom was putting too much pressure on her. I could see how it was taking a toll on her mental health. "Get that scholarship or else", the woman said with a serious tone to her voice. I quickly let go of her fast and I felt bad for her because she did her best. "Look Francesca, you don't always have to be the best...breathe sometimes".

"I don't need your advice, I'm leaving anyways."

France left and I ran to get home, I wanted to be alone again. I got my favourite lollipop out of my pink school bag and ate it; it was cherry flavoured. I listened to nature as if it were talking to me; the birds singing just put me to ease, the nice wind flowing as if it were saying hello to me as I walked by.

It was so peaceful as I wandered into the forest; no problems, no one's feelings and problems to see or hear, just me and nature.

The beautiful colourful butterflies- my favourite insects came flying by as if they were racing to the brightest flowers ever.

The smell of the flowers hit my nose as I touched the grass as I'm running through the forest, my hair flowing through the wind.

This is the life, I wish I could be like this forever right now...
