The Knight said bluntly, "Baron Losa hardly seems like a despicable murderer. He led us bravely in battle, saving all of Kaler Castle and the Kingdom. Lady Stephanie, there must be some misunderstanding here."
Lady Stephanie's teeth were almost chattering. She looked at the faces eager to explain for Losa.
She looked pleadingly at Guy, Amalric, and others, who should have been allies of Count Reynard, but now, they all remained silent.
Suddenly, she seemed to have figured something out and became entirely calm.
"I understand now, Baron Losa, you killed my son, and yet I must thank you, right?"
Losa frowned.
The malice that surrounded this woman was almost visible to the naked eye.
This was of course understandable.
Anyone whose son had died would have the urge to fight desperately.
He dismounted, lowered his head slightly, and said, "I'm sorry, Lady Stephanie, I regret that the outcome has to be like this, but I had no choice. Please accept my condolences."
