Chelina sat sideways behind the camel, snapped open the biscuit box with her thumb, took out a chocolate biscuit that was about to melt and stuffed it into her mouth.

"Once we climb over this rocky mountain, we'll reach the White Stone Well I told you about. There's ample water there, enough for you to fill all your vessels and water bags, but the Tur Tribe also knows of it. They live nearby, and I can't promise they'll be willing to join you."

The speaker was a Bedouin guide.

Bedouins, being a loose collection of tribes, are naturally not a unified block. Some have chosen to ride Yasal's chariot, while others have chosen to follow the foreign Franks, most of whom do so because of the local Lord Yasal's misdeeds.
