With Binkusu no Sake ending, everyone seemed excited for their turns. Some gave especially good performances, like the very emotional song Again by YUI (FMA: Brotherhood) sung by the combined waitresses of the Hostess of Fertility. Even the reluctant Bete was dragged by Loki to sing D-tecnoLife by Uverworld (Bleach OP 2). Everybody — from Akatsuki to the waitresses to Loki Familia — got a chance to try it.
But like all things in life, it had to end. Adventurers carried their drunk friends out, not before taking a few bottles for the way home. Loki, still clamoring for more, was carried on Gareth's on the order of Mama Riveria. Ais carried a passed-out Lefiya, who was dreaming of heaven and missing the real thing. Tione, who Akira was 90% sure was just acting passed out for unknown reasons, was carried out by Finn. Akira offered them a barrel of leftover alcohol, which they graciously accepted.
"Thanks, we all had a pretty good time. You should come visit us sometime," Finn said.
"Alright, I might take you up on your offer," Akira replied.
"See you later, Villain-kun!" Tiona waved goodbye. This made Akira 99% sure Tione was acting.
Ais gave him a nod, and he nodded back.
"Later," Bete said without looking back. Akira shivered at hearing him speak without cursing and muttered, "Gross..."
Thuck!
A cup hit him straight on the head.
'Well, it could have fallen from the sky. After all, it is a magical world,' Akira convinced himself. He wasn't going to fight a Level 5.
Akira thanked Hephaestus, who said she would take Hestia to her home today. Takemikazuchi helped a very drunk Ouka walk, and thanked him again. Akira waved as he didn't want them to feel like they owe him, then looked at Mikoto, who was helping her two family members, Chigusa and Asuka.
"Do you need my help?" he asked.
"No need, Akira-dono. I got it." Mikoto carried Asuka on her back and gave shoulder support to Chigusa, who could walk with help.
She bowed again. "Thank you for the feast. Again, I owe you a big debt, and I will make sure to repay it."
"No need," Akira said, resting his chin on the mop handle.
Takemikazuchi was waiting for her at the door. Seeing her still bowing, Akira tilted his head to the side and noticed her sweating. Mischievously, he asked, "Could it be Mikoto-san needs help but feels too ashamed to ask?"
Mikoto turned her head away and muttered, "No..."
Akira straightened up and decided to help anyway. He lifted Asuka a little to ease the pressure on Mikoto, who recovered quickly. Supporting Chigusa, who had fallen asleep, Takemikazuchi came and took her from Mikoto's shoulder.
"Looks like Mikoto-san owes me a little more than before," Akira teased.
"Thank you again, Akira-dono." Embarrassed, Mikoto could only say that before he waved them goodbye.
He then saw Naaza giving her shoulder to Miach to lean on.
"Will it be okay?" he asked.
"I am Level 2. I can easily carry him," Naaza assured.
"I'm not worried about you. I'm worried about Miach. I'm not sure leaving a drunk and helpless Miach in your care is a good idea," Akira teased.
"What are you talking about? I would not do anything..." Naaza's face reddened.
Akira laughed at her reaction. "I was kidding, no need to take it seriously."
"Don't joke like that," Naaza said in her deadpan tone, though her blush hadn't faded.
"Okay, okay. See you later." Akira waved them goodbye.
Tsubaki came to pick up Hephaestus but left while carrying Hestia. As compensation, he let her take some booze. Looking back, Akira saw the mess left behind — the ground littered with broken bottles and plates.
"We'll leave it to you, Akira-kun," Syr said with a smile, pulling Ryuu who wanted to help behind the bar and sitting with the other waitresses, who were half-asleep, to watch him work.
"Well everyone, no time to sleep. Take one of these, you'll feel alright." He handed out medicine that delayed the effect of drunkenness by a few hours — though once it wore off, the hangover would hit even harder. Forcefully feeding the medicine, he got a team of cleaners ready.
"I'm not going to do this shit," Deidara complained first.
Sparkle!!!!
His body started to glow.
"Looks like we're the first ones to go," Sasori said. He was sparkling like Deidara.
"See you later, boss." Sasori placed his straw hat on.
"Tobi and Sasuke, remember, next time I see you, I'll kill both of you. Let's get out of here, Sasori-danna." Deidara also put on his straw hat. They pushed the tavern gate as their bodies disintegrated into specks of light.
"Syr, that..." Ryuu was confused. She hadn't seen anything like it before.
"Was that magic... nya?" Anya mumbled, too tired to move.
"No, they're dead..." Syr unconsciously explained.
"Deidara-senpai, even though he was leaving this world, he still thought about me. He was my best and favorite senpai," Obito prayed.
"Hey, do the funeral later. Get back to work, I don't want to do it all alone." Akira handed him a mop.
"Sorry, it seems you'll have to do more work," Kyūsuke from the first Akatsuki said, as the members of the first generation started glowing.
"Thank you all for achieving our dream. Yahiko, I think I speak for all of us when I say thank you for making us part of the team that fulfilled our dream."
"Everyone..." Yahiko cried, wanting to apologize, feeling he had caused their deaths.
"We know what you want to say, but you should know we never regretted our decisions. We never blamed you. The only that blames you is yourself. Forgive yourself, Yahiko — our leader." With that, they too broke apart into golden sparks of light.
The sparks flickered and disappeared, leaving silence. Only Yahiko's tears remained.
"Let's finish it in an instant. Kakuzu, grab the big garbage. Kisame, water. Sasuke, drying," Nagato ordered, knowing their goodbye was near.
Kakuzu's Earth Grudge Fear tendrils picked up broken glasses and plates, putting them in garbage. He placed dirty utensils in the sink. Pain released the smallest black hole he could muster, attracting lighter pieces and dust, then threw the collected ball into the trash. Kisame spit out a water wave, washing the floor, and Sasuke used black flames to dry it.
"Now tables and chairs. Kisame, water ball. Sasuke, drying. Everyone else, clean and toss them in."
Kisame spat out a water ball the size of a man, spinning it. Akira threw in scented soap. After cleaning chairs and tables, they tossed them in the water ball, where Sasuke — the Dark Flame Master — dried them with black flames. Yahiko, still sobbing, put them back in place.
"My time has come. See you later, boss," Kakuzu said, cape and hat on, his body glowing. He checked the money he'd earned but found his pouch lighter than it should be. Turning to the most likely suspect, he teleported in front of Akira and swung with all his strength.
"Give me back my moneyyyyyy!!!"
Akira didn't move. Just as the punch was about to land, Kakuzu disintegrated into fireworks of yellow sparks. In the deep dungeon, another forgotten person disintegrated into light.
"Obito, the money?" Akira asked.
"I got it." Space warped, and a bigger pouch of money fell out.
Akira opened it and nodded. "We should thank our senior Kakuzu for his generous donation. May his soul rest in peace." He and Obito prayed for two seconds before going back to work — the plates weren't going to clean themselves.
Akira walked to the bar where Mia and the others were watching him steal from his dying member. Putting the pouch on the table, he asked, "Manager, how much is the bill? I'm ready to pay."
Ryuu: "Scoundrel."
Syr: "Miser."
Anya: "Handsome."
"And the third one gets it right, earning her an extra tip." Akira flipped a coin to Anya, who caught it with her teeth like it was a fish. The others still glared at him.
"Well, he wasn't going to need it where he was going. You can ask any god or goddess," Akira explained. After settling the bill, it was time to go.
"Akira-senpai."hearing Ada's voice he turned to see her and Daemon glowing.
"Well, if you ever get in trouble, leave it to the future me. I do it all the time," Akira said.
"Your jokes are never funny, senpai." Ada smiled. "See you later, senpai."
"See you later, junior."
Ada whispered something to Daemon, who turned to Akira. "It was nice knowing you, my sister's potential new—" Before he could finish, both disintegrated, leaving Akira wondering what he meant.
"So only a few of us are left. What are your plans?" Akira asked.
"I still have a lot to talk about with Nee-san," Sasuke said.
"I also have something I want to ask Sasuke," Itachi added.
"I will stay with Itachi-san. We'll leave together," Kisame said, sitting at a table adjacent to the one with Uchiha brothers.
"Nagato and I will stay here a bit. You three go enjoy your time," Yahiko said.
Akira, Konan, and Naori looked at the last member. Obito pointed at himself. "Me? I'll stay here with the first and second generation, as the third-generation captain of Akatsuki."
Konan said her goodbyes to Yahiko and Nagato.
"If you want to talk as captain, undo your transformation," Naori advised. Obito had forgotten he was still in child form.
PUFF!
The adult Obito appeared, disappointing certain waitresses.
"Before you go, here — this is the wedding card," Obito said, handing it to Akira.
"Whose wedding?" Akira asked.
"Mine and Rin's, of course."
Akira patted his shoulder. "You finally defeated your rival and reached your dream. Congratulations, Obito Uchiha. Now just make sure you arrive on time."
"Haha!" They both laughed.
"Okay, take care, all of you. It was my honor to work with you. I hope we never have to gather again." Akira waved them goodbye and left with Naori and Konan.
-----------------------------------
After the trio left, Nagato, Yahiko, and Obito sat in silence, unsure where to start. Yahiko spoke first.
"So you're from the future, right?"
Obito: "Yes."
"Hmm... you are about to get married, in my time Rin was just revived. That means you're 10 to 20 years older than your wife. Doesn't that make you a male cougar?"
Nagato burst out laughing.
Obito, seeing himself as the butt of the joke, did what any man would do — throw a friend under the bus.
"Nagato is married to a clone of Tsunade Senju..."
"WHAAAAAT?!"
