Muchen lay still beneath the soft covers, his eyes half-lidded as Yunfeng leaned over him, the early morning light slipping through the thin curtains. The hush between them was filled with the sound of slow breaths and faint heartbeats.
His fingers reached up, gently threading through Yunfeng's pale white hair. The strands felt softer than snow, and they shimmered faintly in the light. But the color still unsettled him. Muchen's brows furrowed slightly, worry creeping into his expression even in a moment like this.
Yunfeng noticed.
He pulled back just enough to catch Muchen's gaze. "I'm still me," he whispered, kissing the corner of his lips. "just with different hair and eyes"
Muchen opened his mouth to respond, but Yunfeng kissed him again—this time lower, tracing a slow path down his throat. Warm lips pressed to the hollow of his collarbone, then his chest. Each kiss lingered a little longer than the last, meant to soothe, to distract, and to remind.
