Maria felt as though a truck just ran through her. She didn't know if she heard him well, so she looked at everyone, and the look on their faces confirmed her fears to her.
"What did you just say?" Maria asked Williams, and he nodded his head without looking at her.
"You heard me right, Maria. I want a divorce. I have suppressed myself all these years because of the children. They are all grown now, and I'm sure they will understand that I a life too, and I want to pursue my own happiness." Williams said, and Grace walked up to her dad and gave him a hug.
She's not sure if she wants her parents to get a divorce. But she sure wants her dad to be happy. And now that he has found the woman he loves, she doesn't know how to feel about it.
"You can't do that to me, Williams. I'm your wife, we have been married for thirty years now." Maria reminded him.
