I am the first born son of the Wilson family you have hearing in bedtime tales I was telling since childhood, we happened to base from a village in kaduna state Nigeria. Where my Dad was a farmer.
I was privileged to attend a boarding school from age five. even though I was always homesick I decided to thrive on because I knew it was a golden opportunity 90% of my childhood friends craved for but were not opportuned.
As their parents even thought it's a waste of money to send a child to boarding school when he can attend the village school and still come back to help them at the farm.
Another motivational drive in my heart was marrying a Chinese girl when I grow up. and there is no way it will be possible without me becoming something in life, so I worked harder which led to my present position.
After my first degree, I applied for an online scholarship program and passed, which gave me the opportunity to study for my master at Japan. and for someone from Nigeria I felt so close to my dream.
I studied hard and finished in due time without any carry over. As my results were excellent, and my conduct very good they offered me a job at the National computer engineering sector. after working there for a while I applied for the same work at China during one of my holidays.
And I was lucky enough to have it. in no time I moved to China and there I met the love of my life.
But if you met the love of your life at China who is my mum to you? David asked not wanting to hear the answer.
She knows... I replied to my son, and my relationship with your mum is not something you should poke your nose into, as far as she never complained of any mistreatment .
I brought the the Love of my life to my parents and told them I want to marry her. But they immediately said I can only marry a Chinese girl over their dead bodies. so I just dropped the idea remembering how hard they have worked to raise me.
In the end I moved back to Nigeria and opened my own computer engineering factory, because I knew if I stayed at China a day would come that I won't listen to my parents anymore, that was why I left.
But I was meant to be disappointed. I feel in love with your mother an Igbo woman and my father still refused because we are not from the same tribe ( I am Hausa by tribe) but my grandfather agreed and performed all the marriage rites on behalf of my parents
Which was the reason your mum and I were chased from the family house. they concluded I have replaced them as parents since I can ask someone to replace them on my wedding. And I left without objecting.
So to get married you have to complete the mission of reconciling with your grandparents.
So what about the Chinese woman you wanted to marry? David asked
That is the manager in my factory, The woman you always call aunty Lucy. I replied....
David immediately stared at me and his mum unconvinced, but then Victor explained to him
before I married your mum she agreed that I could stay with Lucy if I wanted to.
That we could even live under the Same roof peacefully. that was why I loved your mum to the extent of going to any length for her, because she can sacrifice anything for my happiness..
Okay Dad, I will go for the mission David replied.
