Allen gave the faintest tilt of his head. "Movement. At least three groups. Trying to circle us."
"Idiots," Red_King muttered, already gripping his sword. "We don't even have a healer."
Allen smiled faintly, the kind of smile that didn't reach his eyes. "That's why they're coming."
Because of course they were. This wasn't just a hunt. This was a badge run. A PvP ranked field like this gave rewards for higher-tier kills. And both of them? Rank-status players. Allen had the Goldborne legacy hanging off his back like a neon sign. Tournament champion. Never been taken down in open PvP.
Red_King wasn't exactly low-profile either. Leader of one of the top guilds. Famously tanked the devil emperor in the war event. They were both icons of the kind of violence other players dreamed of matching.
