He tapped his fork against the plate. "If I survive this weekend, I'm getting a medal."
"Nope," Vivian said cheerfully. "You'll get eight girlfriends and a permanent limp."
"Reward unlocked," Zoe deadpanned.
"Overstimulated Emperor," Jane whispered with a straight face.
Allen stared at them. "You've all lost it."
"You love it," they all said—nearly in sync.
He leaned back in the chair, shaking his head slowly, lips twitching despite himself.
Of course they were right.
Of course they were playing this game.
The 'act cute, wear less, pretend this is just a wholesome vacation' game.
And they were winning.
