She turned in a circle.
It was everywhere.
All around them.
Allen just stood back, hands in his pockets like he didn't just casually drop one of the most romantic bombs of her life.
"What—what is this?" she asked.
"Mini projector," he said. "Portable. Fast install. Wireless. They only had a few hours, so… it's not perfect. But I figured it'd be something."
Mila just stood there.
Flowers in her arms. Skin tingling. Heart full.
"You figured," she echoed.
He gave her that half-smile again. "Yeah."
She looked back at the display. The lights moving across the walls. The petals swirling at her feet. The smell of lavender and city rain and Allen, all wrapped together.
And then she turned back to him.
"You're not real," she muttered.
He grinned. "Don't say that. I work really hard to be this smooth."
She stepped toward him, bouquet in hand, and stared up at him.
"Why?"
He frowned slightly. "Why what?"
"Why all of this?"
