Searching through the hotel, Tyler found no traces of them, so he decided to go search the forest.
"I swear to God, if they're here, they're in big trouble" Tyler said walking into the woods.
A few minutes later…
"Are they even here? I've been walking for a while now. Imagine if they're at the hotel and I'm here looking for nothing, shits gonna be awkward as hell" He said
The shaking stopped about 10 minutes ago, and still no signs of them. He's been walking for about 30 minutes now
"Hoo… this counts as a work out right? What the hell happened here?" He muttered looking at the sight in front of him. Trees were bent in awkward positions, some even broken, the grass, flattened, and on the other side of all this were the kids spread out on the ground.
"Shit"
"Hey, wake up" He said trying to wake them up. They showed no signs of waking up, he flipped one of them and saw the blood running down his face
"Shit, I'm gonna need some help"
He pulled out his phone and dialed a number
"Hi… yeah I found them… They're unconscious… we need to get them to a hospital, you think you can get some staff over here to help? There's no hospital here? The hell you mean by that?… Right we're in the middle of the nowhere. Not even a clinic? We can't leave them like this… fine, come help me move them, I'm not gonna be responsible for any deaths… I sent you my location, hurry up" He said and ended the call.
"What did you guys do?" He said and started to move them, propping them against trees… at least the ones still standing.
"Haa…"
THE NEXT DAY…
''Ugh… my head'' Cal' groaned and opened his eyes, he was met with an unfamiliar white ceiling
"Where am I?" He asked
''Oh baby you're awake, how are you feeling?''
''Mom? What happened? Where am I?"
''An earthquake hit so your teachers brought you guys back home. You and your friends hit your heads really hard so you guys were unconscious'' She replied
''Oh, an earthquake… my friends… teachers'' Cal' said
''Oh shit, what about school?" he said
''Baby you have to rest; you just woke up''
''Don't worry mom, I feel fine. I can go to school" He said, seeing that she still wasn't convinced, he continued
"If anything goes wrong, I'll immediately leave school and come to the hospital, with permission of course. I promise"
''Okay fine, straight to the hospital, okay '' she said
"Yes ma'am"
….
AT SCHOOL.
"Wassup Michael? You don't look too good"
"Yeah, I don't feel to good" Michael replied
"You should have stayed at the hospital, why did you come to school?"
"I felt fine, until I got here. Now everything is so loud, and it's like heavy metal music is playing in my head"
"You should go back to hospital"
"Nah, I'll be fine, I think I just need to sleep it off"
"If you say so"
"Hey guys, I think somethings wrong" Sally said as she approached
"What do you mean?"
"Let's talk in coaches' office"
"Look, something's wrong somewhere, I feel so weird, I think I'm dying" She said
"I get the feeling, I need to take a seat" Michael said
"You good?" Sally asked
"I wil be, just give it a minute"
"Anyways I hate how I'm feeling, do you feel this way?" Sally asked addressing Cal'
"Nope, I feel fine, better than I have in years actually" He replied
"What about you Gwen? You've been quiet"
"Umm, I feel fine and guess, just hungry"
"What're you doing?" Cal' asked Sally who had her hand stretched out and her eyes closed
"Shh, I'm checking if I have superpowers"
"Superpowers, really?" Tyler suddenly came in and asked
''How long have you been there?'' Cal' asked
''He's been here from the start" Michael answered
''How did you know that?'' Tyler asked
''Like I said, everything's loud, literally, I could hear you" Michael said and put his head on the table
''Okay so, anybody wanna explain to me what happened? First you were out after curfew, second, you were in the woods, and third, that did not look like it was caused by an earthquake. I'm open to explanations now" Tyler said sitting on the desk
They spent about 10 minutes explaining everything to him
"So let me get this straight, you snuck out to go see fireflies, you found one, followed it, and found what seemed to be a portal in the middle of the woods. You touched it and it exploded, causing the earthquake. Now, why in Gods name would you touch it?" Tyler said
"I don't know, I just did" Michael replied
"And now, you guys feel weird, and someone thinks they have superpowers, great"
"We could, I just need to channel it" Sally said still stretching her arms out
"To check you need to go more like this, channel that thing that's feels weird, like this" Cal' said stretching his arms out and closed his eyes
Crack…
"The hell was that?" Cal' said pulling his arm back
''What did you do?'' Tyler asked as they all stared at Cal' who was staring at his hands
"I don't know"
"Let me try" Sally said excited
Whoosh…
"Did you feel that? I told we had powers" She was practically leaping in joy at this point
"Gwen, you try"
''Okay'' she said "What do I do?"
"Close your eyes and focus on that weird feeling, that's what I did"
"Okay"
It took a few seconds and a ball of earth started to form on her hands
"Holyshit" Cal' exclaimed frightening Gwen and she accidentally released it hitting Tyler on the head
"Oww"
''I'm so sorry'' Gwen quickly apologized
"Be careful where you aim that thing"
Ignoring him, Cal' said
"I'm probably lightning, Sally's probably wind and Gwen is earth, wow"
"Wow, you actually have powers, that's terrifying"
"Michael, what power do you have?" Cal' asked
"Umm…"
"Geez, you don't look good, you okay?" Tyler asked
"Umm… I don't feel good, I should probably go to the hospital" He said getting up but lost balance mid motion
"Woah, careful. We need to get you to a hospital, we'll take my car, help me hold him" Tyler said
''We'll continue this discussion later"

"Help, we don't know what's wrong with him" Cal' said to the first nurse he found
"He's not feeling well, something about his head, he passed out in the car" Tyler explained to the nurse
"Okay we'll take him from here"She replied
...…
"He's stable now, he's still unconscious but he should be fine now. What happened?" Mitchell(Cal's' mom) asked. She's a doctor.
"I don't know, he said he wasn't feeling well from the start, but he wouldn't go to the hospital, then this happened" Cal' explained
"Okay, someone get his dad, he'll want to know how his son's doing"
''Yeah, I'll do it. I'm the teacher" Tyler said and walked out of the room
Mitchell turned her son
"You feeling okay?"
"Yeah, there's nothing wrong with me, it's just him"
"I feel kinda weird, can I get checked?" Sally asked from the side
"Sure, come on"
