"Ah, Suga Akagi."
Upon hearing his full name called, Suga, who had been casually walking toward the dining room, paused mid-step. He had just opened the door and spotted Mr. Brandt rising from his seat, as if startled by something.
The sudden movement made Suga freeze. It was as though Mr. Brandt's crimson eyes were scanning him from head to toe, an attempt at subtlety that had utterly failed. It felt so obvious that Suga instinctively glanced down at himself, wondering if he had perhaps put his shirt on backwards or maybe there was something dirty on his clothes.
An awkward silence settled between them.
Their eyes met, unexpectedly, and Suga blinked in puzzlement. Mr. Brandt, in turn, seemed caught off guard by the eye contact, his expression faltering. A faint flush crept up his face, gradually reddening as he let out a soft cough and slowly sat back down, straightening his posture as if nothing had happened just moments ago.
