-Zade Collins:
I slammed the door of my room behind me and leaned against it, my chest heaving like I'd just run a marathon. My heart was pounding too fast, each thud rattling through me until I thought I might collapse from it. My palms were clammy, my skin hot. I pushed myself off the door and stumbled toward the mirror that hung above my dresser. The man staring back at me didn't even look like me — flushed face, wild eyes, hair a mess from running my fingers through it on the way upstairs.
I gripped the edge of the dresser so tightly my knuckles went white. "What the fuck was that? Maddox is out of his mind." I muttered under my breath, staring at my reflection as though it might answer me. Maddox's voice still echoed in my skull, sharp, teasing, relentless.
So, you are banging him?
