Chapter 10 - PAY BACK TIME

Grinning, Pinky took a few steps forward to meet kevin Moore where he was standing. Face to face, with her bowl full of vegetables in hands, she stood. Kevin's jaws paused from chewing instantly, looking affectionately at Pinky's beauty which was another wonder to behold.

Pinky, with a calm gaze into his eyes she said:

"I got you this as well, Kevin!"

All eyes on her, her relatives watched her playing a good Samaritan. Pinky chuckled at them and added:

"He maybe too shy to ask yet he is starving."

The love bond was at work, drawing the two together.

Grandmother smiled a go ahead, nodding in support of the brave deed her granddaughter chose to do. Grandmother's reaction was an energizing switch, giving Pinky courage to go ahead. She had never been so close to any man like this before. By the facial gesture of the grannies, they can tell that fire the young woman Pinky, was ripe, attracting harvesters.

Grinning, Pinky forwarded a vegetable bowl to Kevin. Without hesitation, Kevin recieved the bowl from her with two hands. Hunger had taken a place, disturbing his peace. And so, he needed to deal with it urgently. Kevin found his way down on the floor where he sat so comfortably.

Who really cares whether a stranger thanked on receiving or later, after solving his hunger problems?

With a quick hand, he chewed greedily

Grandmother, seeking a third leg from her walking stick, slowly she found her way to where Kevin was sitting. With curiosity, all eyes turn on her. She sat down face to face with him. A sharp gaze at the old woman sitting in his face. Kevin's jaws paused from chewing instantly once again.

In her old shaking voice grandmother said:

"Young man, you seem to have travelled a very long distance to come here."

Protective of his identity, questions crossed his mind immediately:

"How is she able to know?"

Keeping her smile warmer direct into his blue eyes to appear friendly, grandmother added:

"I know you're wondering how I am able to know. I'm just old enough to see what young people cant see."

Kevin Moore got stuck. His mind sighed:

"Old... enough?"

He remembered one day in his water world his mother took him out, far away from their usual areas on a tour. His mother led the way, swimming into a deeper hole. Everything in this hole looked different from all other places Kevin Moore had ever visited in their water world.

So amazed by what he was seeing by that time:

"A school of mermaids!"

Meg replied with a calm smile:

"Yes, only that we can't touch them and they can't touch us but they are happy to see you here. They're spirits of our ancestors. Most of them were old enough to die. But in this place every good spirit lives."

The surrounding lighting was a unique one. Not only spirits of hundreds of Mermaids but, some other creature that seemed to have extinct swam freely everywhere in this deep hole. The energies in this place appeared so beautiful.

Now, within Kevin's thoughts as he is down on the floor seated face to face with Pinky's grandmother,

"Why do they eat us if we have like factors? Could it be they are just heartless? But they fed me!"

Kevin stared at Pinky and added:

"And my heart runs too fast whenever she gets close to me!"

A lot of an unanswered questions lingered in his head. He swallows his vegetable to clear his mouth.

Some cultures don't know how to say thank you. But to show appreciation comes naturally. Kevin saw an urge to appreciate the hospitality of these humans, having solved his hunger case in his favor.

He cleared his throat and said:

"You've fed me, I need to give you something in return."

Suddenly, With his ability to heal wounds and cure illness, a lightening waved out of Kevin's muscles, the mythical powers that got Pinky, Jonathan, grandfather who was sitting very quietly at the dining shocked in fright. Kevin held Pinky's grandmother's hands and began to channel pure light through.

Jonathan and Pinky's hearts nearly jump out of their rib cages as they pounded hard in a sign of fear when grandaunt yelled scaredly:

"See..! See..! See what I've been telling you!"

A blinding barrier of strong blue light waves sorrouded and covered grandmother inside it to deflect attacks and absorb unwanted energies. One minute later, it all disappeared instantly.

Jonathan rushed close fearfully calling:

"Mother, Mother! What have you done to my mother?"

But what happened next was so shocking to everyone _ a testimony to give. As Jonathan supported his old mother to slowly raise on her feet so he can walk her to seat safely, the strength and speed at which grandmother stood, physically fit, was equal to none older than her.

In her old but now energetic voice, grandmother said:

"Am I sixteen years old again? That's how I feel right now."

Leaving everyone in an open-mouthed gaze, she walked majestically on a straight healthy back to meet her husband, Jonathan's father, were he was sitting. Grandmother support her husband, whose body was very weak, eaten by both internal and external old age diseases, to stand up and slowly walked him upto infront of Kevin and politely requested with a merciful look on her face:

"Please!"

With his kind heart, Kevin was so committed to repaying Pinky's family's kindness too. And after healing grandfather's illnesses as well, Jonathan was next on line. He sat down to recieve his blessing, a magical treatment for his metabolic disorder and food allergies, and experience how it felt.

Grinning in gratitude after waves channeled through his muscles, Jonathan sighed;

"Awesome!"

Jonathan can now enjoy his worst food and get no complications. Kevin was a god in a physical form they had prayed to, to visit their humble home and help with solving major problems. Hospital bills for both grandfather and grandmother every now and then due to old age complications.

Diabetes and total blindness for grandfather, and high blood pressure for grandmother were all out of the window now. And as for grandaunt, total silence became her new normal. She could feel a big shame upon herself, now that she's witnessing how happy every family member was. Why should she sit down on that floor face to face in need of his help right now?

Mentally grandaunt said:

"I feel so embarrassed! My attitude has caused more harm than good!"

Looking at her isolated, distant and lonely, Pinky came for her rescue. At this moment, guilty has occupied a wider place in her soul that, she refused to step forward. Others noticed her conduct. Without casting blames on her, they came to her support. All together as one, got her moving hesitantly towards Kevin Moore.

Pinky said to her:

"Grandaunt, that alser needs to go!"

She had no choice but to find comfort in sitting with Kevin and taste how his magical blue flame powers felt in her skin. After all every family member had gone through the the blue fame and have healed. Hence her stomach alsers cured in just a minute.

Old in their appearance but young inside the bodies, feeling so energetic, grandmother and grandfather, accompanied by Jonathan and Pinky stood strong in the eyes of Kevin and expressed gratitude for his rescue from old age constant deseases.

Kevin said to all of them, in their healthy lives now:

"My father's name is Sean Moore. I followed the brightest light up in the sky upto the world of humans here to find him."

Kevin added:

"I need to know him. I need my mother to have him back too. I dont think you know where I can find him. So, I have to go find him."

Feeling pitiful for him after understanding his innocent side, they thought with a some little money on him, part of his problem would be solved. As a family, they had a small saving in a tin which was kept under Jonathan's bed. Jonathan, as the only man in the house and the head of this humble family went to fetch the saving and brought it to Kevin Moore.

Jonathan handed the money over to Pinky who then confronted Kevin kindly:

"Take it. You're going to need it!"

However, their good spirit sacrifice was of no use to a being that had spent almost all its life time far away in depth of the sea, a different world were money never existed. Silently, he met his old version scrap computer monitor, held it firmly and traced the exit door.

Pinky screamed:

"Wait!"

They had no idea.
