With this thought in mind, Di Tou walked a little ways out of the center of the town to where the fields were located. Passing through the fields, and walking along the way, Di Tou had his suspicions confirmed, as he saw many farmers working on the same fields, labouring tirelessly, and he couldn't help but notice that the crops were often fine greens or spices, not grains and starches that could easily fill a person up.
Rather it was luxuries like vegetables and herbs… While walking around, Di Tou even saw a number of fat sheep! But considering that the people were starving… well, starving was a bit extreme, but seeing as people weren't yet eating their fill, how in the world was this settlement managing to raise sheep?
