Chapter 6 - Eight birthday

It was solemn, a soft tune was playing in the background and something heavy weighted on his head.

Father spoke with false happiness, speaking of how stunning he looked, how his silver hair felt like a halo around him.

They had never been capable of cutting it, cause what if he would like it?

His suit was decorated with silver jewels as the king and queen had only prepared the best.

It was a small party as his entire existence was to be kept hidden.

The people didn't know, neither did the advisor.

It wasn't like he was running around and acting like a child or something like that.

All he did was lay and think and ebb away in the abyss he found himself in.

Was it safety or comfort he found in it?

Why was he not forcing himself?

He didn't even know what his parents looked like and what about the world?

Was he not curious?

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to yo---"

The song dimmed in the background as his focus was taken elsewhere.

A feeling that was arising in his chest, not only that but even his very soul brimmed with something unknown.

It was lively, energetic as finally a part of him missing came home and before he even realised his fingers twitched.

"H-he..h-his fingers twitched."

Chaos erupted, it was impossible the people present didn't notice as they where surrounding him left and right.

Not even seconds later, the door opened and the guard from eight years ago sounded.

"Your majesty, someone is at the door.

Snow covering his being as if he arrived in a hurry."

Nobody said a thing, gazes most likely locked on the royals, awaiting their order so they could continue to freak out.

"Le-""Your majesty, he reacted, Adrian reacted. What if it wasn't us but this person presence he felt?!

What if it wasn't something but someone!?"

"That's a possibility.

Let him in."

It didn't take long, the guards annouced the person and he wandered in softly, his ears picked him up as the crowd watched with baited breath.

An energy pulsing between them, electrifying but feeling finally closer to a whole as the distance closened.

But the other didn't move closer, he stilled before him.

And his body roared, a torment.

There was no way the other didn't feel it and yet he waited.

But he couldn't, as practiced in his sleep, he started spreading his golden coloured mana throughout his body and lifted said limp body towards the figure.

Who stayed put, waiting just as curious no doubt and maybe even feeling the same thing he was feeling.

Lifting his arms slowly when he reached close enough, he let his fingers softly touch the other's forehead and something clicked.

And suddenly he could open his eyelids and he stared at the person in front of him.

Their touch having created a shockwave that blew of the stranger's cape, it now scattering in the air.

How peculiar, a blue haired elf with silver stormy eyes that flashed in an unnatural way.

Opening his mouth, once...twice...and even thrice, he finally forced out.

''So...you are the missing piece.''

He smiled, his first and widest smile ever before crashing down into the figure before him.

Before he fully fainted, he saw two vampires runNing with vampiric speed at him.

There was no mistaking them.

''Mother...father....how nice to finally see you.''

He could see the tears, the realisation as his hands clasped around the elf's tunic purely on instinct.

Maybe, maybe everything would pan out just fine.

After all he had eternity.
