The moon shone brightly in the night sky dotted by countless stars.
Nidia had a thin, knitted cardigan draped around her shoulders as she stood alone on the balcony. She was enjoying the gentle night breeze while taking in the magnificent view of the starry sky.
Jackson had just come out of the shower when he realized Nidia was not in the room.
When he saw her on the balcony, he decided to join her.
Nidia was so engrossed in the view that she did not realize Jackson had come up behind her until he surprised her with a hug.
"Why didn't you make any sound?" Nidia whispered as she leaned into Jackson's embrace, finding comfort in his familiar smell.
"If you weren't so engrossed, you'd have heard my footsteps," Jackson replied, gently placing a kiss on her hair. "What's on your mind?"
"Nothing. I'm just looking at the stars."
Jackson followed her gaze to the night sky. To him, it was just a dark sky with a handful of twinkling stars. He honestly could not see the beauty in it.
