Back at East Bay, Nidia collapsed wearily onto the bed after her shower.
She had spent the last few days attending online classes. Nidia wondered if her pregnancy was causing her memory to deteriorate. For some reason, she had to dedicate a lot more time to remember facts and figures. Nidia reflected.
She caressed her belly and could only attribute it to the fact that she was carrying triplets. Her energy was probably depleting three times as quickly as it did in the last singleton pregnancy.
Jackson had a dinner meeting that night, so he returned home later than usual. Nidia rolled over just in time to see Jackson carrying a bag laden with items as he entered the room.
"What are you carrying? It looks heavy!" Nidia remarked with interest.
