Chapter 124 - I am becoming a slave

On a bright afternoon, with the cool breeze of mid-spring serenading them, a giant willow bird flew directly above the forest of Susana to the north.

Nicholas remarked, "You really startled me for a moment there, sire."

The issue was that Bowen took quite a while to emerge from the forest, exceeding the agreed-upon 24 hours. In response, Nicholas sprang into action, rallying the local residents to enter the forest.

Nicholas solemnly stated, "If you had been 10 minutes later, we would have entered the forest."

Zyan, lounging comfortably on the willow bird, casually said, "I told you he'd be fine." Nicholas didn't appreciate his nonchalant attitude.

Nicholas whispered, "Sire, is it truly advisable to keep Master Zyan with us?"

Bowen inquired, "Is there a problem?"

Nicholas explained, "He's been asking unusual questions about you, like your future plans and daily activities, under the pretense of getting to know you better." His concern was palpable.
