Dusk was slowly falling covering the area in gray. The days were getting shorter and it was clearly visible. Philip glanced at his watch. He still had some time before his appointment, but he didn't want to sit at home anymore. He started to put on the shoes standing in the hallway.
"Are you going out?" his mother asked.
"Yes. I'm going to meet a buddy," he said.
"Which one?" his younger, stubborn sister was interested.
"None of your business, get lost!"
"Boor!" she growled and, picking her nose, walked toward the kitchen. "Mom, say something to Philip! He's being mean to me again!"
Philip shook his head. He should move out of here as soon as possible. He will do it as soon as he passes the fall exams for police school. He hasn't told anyone about his plans yet. To no one except Frank, because he was actually the one who talked Philip into the job. Only, Philip didn't want to end up in traffic police or prevention. He dreamed of the criminal department.
