Chapter 2 - The gathering

The evil god Tranile forged the Jinka from the Pink Fire, an essential amulet in Mahia designed to ensure that the dead receive a proper burial. This powerful amulet guides the departed to the afterlife and helps them navigate the treacherous Sixth Realm, preventing them from falling into the clutches of Tranile. Those who are not laid to rest with the Pink Fire do not reach their destined peace; instead, they become trapped in the Sixth Realm, where Tranile mercilessly torments them and transforms them into his puppets.

Ginny articulated this crucial information to the members of the Sun Clan and everyone present.

"What is the connection between the Jinka and the Pink Fire?" a curious young boy asked, eager to understand.

Ginny turned sharply to face the boy, his expression intense but controlled.

"Please, Master," Nina intervened gently, instinctively pulling the boy closer to protect him.

"Let him speak," Ginny encouraged, welcoming the boy's inquiry as vital to their understanding.

The link between the Jinka and the Pink Fire is of utmost importance. The immortal god Johovan created the Pink Fire after he banished Tranile from the Seventh Realm. Recognizing Tranile's sinister plans to use innocent souls as puppets to bolster his demonic army, Johovan crafted the Pink Fire from pure jade, allowing it to assist souls in their transition to the afterlife. The jade possesses formidable properties that suppress Tranile's dark influence, enabling the deceased to safely traverse the Sixth Realm.

Upon the creation of the Pink Fire, Tranile immediately sought ways to seize souls for his own nefarious purposes. He dispatched one of his puppets to the Western Palace of Mahia, where the Pink Fire is kept. However, fate intervened when the puppet encountered Vien, the most skilled swordsman in Mahia. Known as "Mr. Young," Vien appears eternally youthful despite being over a thousand years old, and many strongly believe he is a guardian sent by Johovan to protect Mahia. During their confrontation, the puppet narrowly escaped but managed to flee with a broken piece of the Pink Fire.

This fragment was delivered to Tranile, who then twisted it into an amulet to create the weapon known as the Jinka. The Jinka has gained infamy for sending the souls of its victims directly to the Sixth Realm, where Tranile manipulates them into becoming his puppets. Although the Jinka contains a diluted fragment of the Pink Fire, it ultimately redirects souls towards the evil god, effectively serving his malevolent agenda. Ginny settled at the edge of the bed where Addinka lay, ready to finalize his critical explanation.

"It seems that age has not dulled your senses," Nina remarked, concern evident in her voice. "Master Ginny, allow me to escort you home. But before you go, can you tell us how we can save her soul?" Akina pressed with urgency.

"I will share the necessary information, but you must be ready to embrace the challenges that come with it. What are you willing to sacrifice to save your mother?" Ginny urged, looking directly into Akina's eyes.

"Please, tell us what we need to do. I will do anything to save her," Akina asserted with determination.

"Very well. I'll provide you with the guidance you need, but you must meet me this evening under the pine tree in front of the Western Palace," Ginny instructed with purpose as he exited the gathering hall of the Sun Clan.

Nina quickly assessed Addinka's pulse and then rushed after Ginny, knowing the urgency of the situation.

"MASTER! MASTER!" Nina called out. Ginny paused and turned to face her, his demeanor calm yet commanding. She caught up, breathless but focused. "What did you mean in your response to Akina? Is there truly a way to save Addinka?" she asked sincerely.

Ginny replied softly but firmly, "She's not dead." Nina's eyes widened in disbelief. "Don't be surprised; I stand by what I say. She is not dead," he reiterated decisively. "Now, tell me what you observed when you checked her."

"Her pulse was faint, but there was enough of a heartbeat to suggest she may be in a coma," Nina explained, determination growing in her voice.

"Exactly. As I mentioned, she's not dead. Your next step is to go to the Western Palace and request Vien to meet me under the pine tree this evening," Ginny instructed confidently. Nina nodded, understanding the critical nature of her mission, and set off for the Western Palace.

As she approached the palace, her mind raced with questions, "What does he mean when he says 'she's not dead'? Why does he want to bring Akina and Vien together?"

"Who's there?" a guard suddenly called out as she arrived at the palace gate. "I'm Nina, and I'm here to see Vien," she replied assertively.

"What for?" the guard asked.

"I have an important message for him," she stated with conviction.

"Wait here," the guard replied before moving to inform Vien. Moments later, he returned and granted her entry. Nina entered the hall where Vien typically sat, but to her surprise, he was absent.

"What do you want this time?" a voice suddenly asked from behind her. She turned to meet Vien's gaze. "Where have you been?" Nina asked, her tone direct and focused. "What do you want?" he replied, seemingly uninterested.

"Master Ginny sent me with a message." Vien raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What does he want?"

"He requested that you meet him under the pine tree outside tonight."

"What for?" he inquired, fully engaged now.

"I'm not sure, but it is important."

"Very well. Tell him I'll be there," Vien replied with confidence, ready to face whatever awaited him.
