Chapter 870 - The Path War Era - 870

He didn't have to think long. There weren't many fitting names.

So he went with the most basic one. It was now a Multiverse. The Main Multiverse. Maybe he would make more in the future. Probably.

Zhou Fan shook his head and began to cultivate. With all the Rules he had mastered, the only thing left was to cultivate until he was ready to break through.

Outside of the seal, war continued on. Fights broke out everywhere, all the time. It was rare for someone to go a week without fighting someone, mortal, god, or immortal.

Ye Li's control over the Universe was unimaginable. Not a single living being was aware of his influence on them.

However, when the Universe began to expand, the God of Death was scared. He thought that Zhou Fan had broken out. The others were still under Ye Li's control, and did not react.

As for Ye Li, it didn't faze him at all.

Was he some sort of moron? No. The only unexpected thing so far was Leaf's overwhelming power.

"We'll see how long this game can be played, and when you decide to leave, I can only hope that my gambit has succeeded." Ye Li mumbled to himself.

Ye Li's strength grew quicker than anybody else in the Universe. He even pulled strings to make sure that the population was increasing.

Although the unimaginable event of the Universe turning into a Multiverse was a bit inconvenient, he had a plan in mind in case the Universe expanded while Zhou Fan was in the seal.

By now, a slight, slight bit of his power had been imbued into the souls of all beings below the Heaven Immortal realm.

It would exist on them, and would pass down through their bloodline. All he had to do was activate it. And as people began to venture beyond the bounds of the Universe, into the space between them, he did. It was silent, and due to his caution in avoiding people at or above the Heaven Immortal realm, nobody noticed. Not a single being.

Ye Li didn't feel an immediate increase. After all, the formation he had set up around the Universe already gathered everyone's Karma. Only when everything spread thin would he notice the effect. He had no plan to remove the formation, as the most powerful people did not have a mark on them. It would be a great waste.

Still, the most powerful people were the first to go out and explore, so he did notice a decrease. But since the quantity made up for most of the missing quality, he was still growing faster than anybody else.

In just 500,000 Sage Years, he stood at the end of the Domain Immortal realm, ready to break through at any time.

His growth was even faster this time around, as expansion had increased greatly. There were five women he had gained control of. One was the ancient Path Creator known as the Goddess of Lust. Besides her, there were four other Heaven Immortals that followed similar paths.

After being put under his control, they used their power to increase the fertility rates of the entire Main Universe. Although there had been minor expansions into other Universes, more than 99% of life was within the Main Universe. As for the space between the Universes, they had learned an interesting fact. Every Sage Year, a wind would sweep through it, destroying anything and anybody below the Star Immortal realm. Even Heaven Immortals would suffer, if not die.

This was Zhou Fan's method of establishing the difference between Universes and space between Universes.

Otherwise, there was no point in making distinctions. This was also a way to separate classes. Star Immortals and above could live in the space between Universes, and even build if they put in a bit of effort.

Regardless, a few thousand Sage Years passed, and Ye Li entered the Immortal Lord realm. He could instantly tell that this realm was one of complete transformation.

He spent a lot of time comprehending Rules. At first, he comprehended all the Rules related to Karma that he could come up with. Then, like Zhou Fan, he began to try and comprehend every Rule. This was following Zhou Fan's path.

Ye Li was not foolish enough to believe he could come up with something comparable completely on his own.

He was smart enough to realize that Zhou Fan was a genius beyond anything or anyone throughout all of history. Nobody could compare to him following his path, and nobody could create a path comparable to his, so Ye Li went for another method. Following Zhou Fan's leads, while also following the Path of Karma.

He also had to do more than Zhou Fan. Zhou Fan had been born without equal, and had grown when nobody else could grow. Ye Li had been born when cultivators had long existed. He had to fight his way to the top. But in a way, this was beneficial as well. Not only was he able to accumulate more Karma born during such a time, but he was also able to grow much smarter as a result.

Otherwise, this situation would have never happened. He would have never been able to scheme like this.

He would have never had the opportunity to become equals with Zhou Fan. He could only hope he was growing fast enough.

Time passed as Ye Li raced forward. This was the chance he had been waiting for all along.

But he was not omnipotent. The effect that his influence had for so long began to wane, and war began to slow. Peace began to appear in different regions of the Universe, signaling the end of the Era that had existed for millions of Sage Years.

This effect was slow, but it was occurring nonetheless.

Ye Li estimated that within the next two million Sage Years, this subtle effect would vanish. That would signal the next part of his plan.

The Race War Era.
