Garret should have been having major regrets about his life and the decision, he could have taken but didn't. that should have been any normal person's reaction but garrets actual regret was not being able to enjoy movies that were to be released in MCU Phase 5.
After thinking about possible movies that could have been released, he began to contemplate his mortality and the afterlife even though garret was not overly religious in nature but at this crucial point, he had to take the possibility of the great beyond to be true or false.
Stewing on the possibilities lead him down another rabbit hole of the possibility of the situations of fanfiction that he had read in his short lifespan. In his head, he imagined a scenario playing out like 'A ROB would take pity on his situation or more likely be amused by the circumstances under which he died and for providing a hint of excitement to their long and eternal existence and would reincarnate him in a world of garrets choice maybe with a few wishes to complement the deal....' were his thoughts.
time in the void was relative to the perception of the person found there, therefore to garret he felt that over a millennium had passed while he was floating and introspecting but after some undisclosed time the surrounding changed to a bar that was very famous in garrets now former life. Apart from himself in the bar, there was another being sitting on a stool drinking a strange liquid in a cocktail glass.
Garret proceeds to politely ask for permission to sit beside the female individual. She turned around to face him to acknowledge his presence with a smile and a wave. After taking a seat beside the being he proceeds to take a good look at the individual to summarize her appearance ...she was drop-dead gorgeous with red hair upon her head and luscious lips that were extremely kissable. Her figure struck him to represent what a jade-bodied lady embodied from those cultivation novels that he read in his previous life. before he could continue to admire the art before him a pleasant-sounding melody in the form of light laughter escaped her lips.
All these thoughts about the lady came to an abrupt stop when the beauty smiled and thanked garret for the compliments. 'Did I not think about the beauty in my head and not express it vocally...' were his thoughts but was interrupted from his train of thought by the lady who told that she could read his mind. Garret felt very vulnerable at that moment and had to take a deep breath to calm and stabilize his mind.
Garret asked the lady politely "Please can you tell me your name and where are located at?". The lady introduced herself as a Goddess of Reincarnation. She told that she was quite appalled with how one of her new employees had mistaken garret as the employee's target which lead to garrets sudden and horrible death to answer the 2nd question the goddess and garret were in the personal dimension of the goddess.
Garret could understand the situation at hand but could not fantom what he was going to do after his discussion with the goddess but the issue was resolved quickly by the goddess who told him that because of the mistake, he will be reincarnated in a world of his choice and would be granted three wishes and a choice in customizing his appearance.
It did not take long for garret to choose a universe to reincarnate into, he choose an MCU x X-men x Fantastic Four. universe.
Garret said to the goddess that he had decided on his wishes. "My first wish is to........."
