Time as barely passed from when she left Raven alone in the cake shop. But for her, there been a long pause between moments. She has plenty to think about things. All thanks to the undertakers around here shuffling through mage paperwork and there being five different crest kingdoms screwing around the affairs around here. She watched as an Angel and demon are battling it out on the moral to make or break a mage. As this mage magic capability is about to rupture: the angel and demon is fighting for the outcome to be both their favour's. She sat back watching the angel and demon fist cuffing it while lost in her own thoughts. She occasional would lift tomes, check her creatures locations and help some of them.
She has a snake that has been the squeezing the death realm into a smaller density for a while, it has been accidental injuried by a visiting god that came to death for a favour. Knowing the wound and type, it was Zeus asking death for help. She would have thought Hermes would have been sent on behalf but then she realized this is crossing cultures. Hades is the underworld king of death for the pantheon. So Zeus is break to new ground meeting a different death god. She looked into it with the dreamers and it turns out Erebus encouraged this. She thinks deeply in the implications of why this may meet for what.
"My win." The demon stood the beaten Angels back.
"Round two, my turn." She lazed in seeing Twilight appearing. From camouflage colouring into red. Slowly a god eaters like appearance, a jaw of several rows of teeth and six sets of clawed hands. But there is a divine ascpet at play, radiating a glowing purity that only good souls have. The demon plenty backed off from the beaten angel.
"I can take the corpse if you break him." Leana shouted across and Twilight hissed a little, "Demon skin is good trade." Twilght soon smirked in realizing this was someone that is an freind then foe. The demon looked around for what made such a daring assumption. Twilight tail smacked the life and soul from the demon. Leana got up from the bench at the distances and approached softly.
"Eliza, you are a human here."
"You are using my old name. Eliza is gone." Leana chuckles and right up at the demon corpse, "Want some holy water for him?"
"Yes please." The demon corpse sinks to storage and tossed across is a silver flask of holy water. Twilight no hesitation in not trusting Leana, pours it over the angel fella. He not only heals but gained so much from four glugs. Twilight storaged away the rest of the flask, seeing how potent it is.
"What are you?" The angel hissed.
"I am both soulless and soul containing. I am currently a human. But I am broken and able to do things as a spirit. I own parts of dreams and I look after a crew of universe cleaners." She gestures plenty of her long and officially string of gestures. It has been a very long time since she used a lot of them. Most are long forgotten and are secret. But she does them, proving where her soul has traveled and how the lengths of this journey has toll. She did ones that means she was lifetimes in tomes that caused toxic cross contamination. She eased down with a flurry of her kingdom and her rights, "You can call me, Trixie Trickster. I am the nightmares of tome keepers and the devourer of soul languages. I recycle and repair broken souls. That isn't always fitting for the rest of us."
Twilight returned back and most of these gestures mirror Trixies. They been through broken worlds together and worked as partners scrapping corpses. Notable is the hunting they done together from rouge gods to outsiders. Dream worms to cat lizards. Heaven realm and hell on earth. There was that new one she never seen, a gesture she never knew about before until this place. But she has yet to figure out where that was.
"Then we have no issues." The angel is cautious.
"Trixie is a neutral person. She isn't anyone side but her own. The only other being that she care for is the follower of Omens. Maybe Omens. But not to break things on their behalf on a whim. She respects the truce of enders here, she is half of Ender. The half Raven doesn't remember." The angel shivered at that and turns away to get on with his job. Twilight coils as a small white lizard, lovingly watching her angel partner at altering the magic wavelengths to smooth and heal the weak. Leana turns back to the bench and sits waiting for time to come back. Looking at the loading prompts across panes of sigil. She watching the progress of her life status. Documents of her life being changed and tangled. There are Seers trying to mess with the spirit courts and are failing miserably to access soulless tomes. They seem so desperate about it. But she doesn't bother with them. Paying ink with blood to create broken things. She can't allow them any soulless cross overs.
"Hey Twilight." Shouting across before parting ways, "I will heal any of your injuries. You going to have a hard time ahead but dont kill them. Alright." Twilight heard that plenty and thinks this heed over, "I am the god eater crest of undertakers. My lands will sooth you." Twilight looks to her angelic partner, "I can if he does too. Even if it means putting those wings back together." Twilight bows grateful, "Look after Raven when I can't. He is always getting head frist into danger. I have to keep clawing his soul out of things." Twilight nods accepting the trade off. They leave.
"Why did she say that?" The angel asked Twilight.
"Your an angel. You dont have the senses we do. Her ties to Omens means she knows a taste of what is ahead of us. She worried for us. Warned us when she shouldn't have. She's not meant to meddle in gods ways. But she does with the purpose of protecting us all. As someone that used to be outsider, being told by another. I think she knows something beyond is meddling." The angel thinks deeply, "She can't make a move unless the ender of this world pleads of her to." Twilight climbs about the angel, "Our morals are about to be tested. I am with you and whatever your soul chooses." They left with a flash of light. Leana sits about the public mall bench in thought. Back to her own thoughts.
"You didn't tamper my threads... why?" Threads of the fate woven into a loose human puppet shape. Seated itself at leanas side, "You with omens right?"
"My soul mate maybe attached to the bird brain god." Leana Trixie huffed, "but I see the hidden and the ways both worlds impact each other. You thread on that angel is the lifeline of fragile tome pages. When that angel dies or becomes a fallen one. So will collapsed a heaven realm with him. And this will impact the mages and magic. That fray thread is all that is holding on to the gods influence over the mages. This world can adapt and make do. Save itself. But..." Leana frowns, "You will release a bunch of soulless creatures upon the humans. Whole countries. A new dawn of red and follows ashes." The goddess looking ahead, "The universe works in mysterious ways that unfathomable for those with soul like you." Leana leans back with relaxing, "If you want to prevent all that, that's up to you. Stop omens from cutting the angels life short. The trade is Raven. He will fall instead. You dont need to worry about a man that crawled from the abyss. Although dont tell that to them. They don't remember. They dont remember the horror of the abyss." Fate looked at leana deeply.
"You remember." Leana softly nods, "You saved those human souls that became your pets. You tell everyone they are animals to protect them."
"It wasn't just humans I plucked from among the universe eaters stomach. It was gods and other souls. So many. I barely able to get out of there." Leana held a hand to her stomach, "gave them all a piece of my soul, my time, my space." Patting her tummy, "Over time they returned my soul back to me. I repaired myself. I am a broken being but I am proud of what I saved." She reclines with watching the last flurry of undertakers leaving the area.
"Thank you for paying a horrible price." Fate laces something of a gift over Leana and leaves. Leana spun this spare golden thread into her skins, hiding it. It's as traceless it is going to be. Omens will know.
"I thought you had stuff to do." The normal world is back and Raven rushes up to her, "Anyways, have you seen Arthur pass by?" She studies the concern for the kid and just smirks.
"Yup." She pointed at a group of kids bullying Arthur ahead. One those kids was who the angel tampered magic with. So instead of letting the rage turn bad. The shot of magic helps Arthur's human side. It only then leads to blessing burn marks over Arthur as a damned. Blistering skin. Raven runs right over dismissing the bullies away. He stares at Leana for doing nothing with angry.
"She didnt intervene for my sake. Don't be mad at her respecting me." Arthur hissed wounded in blessing and off leaves to sooth in shadow somewhere else. Raven huffed and follows after.
"What did she want?" Omens hissed at Leana at the bench.
"I told Twilight that she can find help in my kingdom when her wing man is broken. Fate felt confused by me not breaking the dying life sooner. But when it concerns entire tome chapters of many souls. The outcome of that life has to play to when its ready to give up. Not when we want it to." Omen flustered at shock of the turth, "I will not let them fall outside of my grasp. Not unless you turly wish by soul to leave." He narrows with not understanding, "She wasn't sure either. So I have a back up in case of whichever way it goes." He flews off, a rainbow feather left at her lap. She stays seated, staring at the fortune. The way the blind around here evade the sense of Omens.
She stares in how suddenly undertaker stood nearby watching her. They stand unsure of approach but need to. They do so as unseen spirits to those around them. Stood at her front, a bundle of mail under stamp wax seals. She glares and they use the left hand. She uses her left hand taking these documents. She goes through every single note. Including her court creatures tell of events to come and her summons to court. Coinciding with Raven about to disappear. She is tied to not caught Raven as they want her to not.
"Thats how it is. I will be attending." The undertaker nod and soon are talking to themselves. They are partners and are linked by bond. She recounted what their ender title did to her and her Matthew. She briefly felt the link and smirks.
"You have anything to bring?" Leana glares in how they expect her to play the chess of courts. They must have forgotten me. Maybe I forgotten too.
"If you treat me like this, you will fall." She warned. One thinks she's arrogant and the other assumed her as just a brat of Seer.
They have it in their assumptions that she thinks in owning the afterlife for having a book of names. Even so, they are undertakers and emotions dont rule their actions. They posture she needed to follow and got on with thier order. Soon marching with her was a bunch of damned, legal team from demons she has saved and several of her animals walking with her. Enjoying the stroll as a pack. Even Isolde was keeping them herd together. Luna walked in pace, matching timing with Leana steps. A cloud of coloring masking her transformation from human to creature. Dream creatures open the gates and double doors into the court. She is paraded and prized as a queen. Her clothing all the references of her past lives, a patchwork dress of crests she owned and saved.
When she stopped at the gallery, her many mask clay faces fell into dust. A hole of what was a face. The court eaters lowering themselves to bow. The gallery turned silent and the wisps Luna was has vanished. Isolde disappeared too. The team of legal workers set themselves on both benches sides.
Her current close family is here. Her mother looking the worst for realizing Leana is that thing. Step father shielding. Red hands stood in shock. The Seers lowering themselves in realizing they lost this court instantly. A set of Fallown meddlers are soon screaming and hog tied hung, black snakes making Ragnars body presenting these fools as toy gifts to Leana. The judge took one look down at his seat. He stuck there, likely choking up in all the nightmares and memories she makes him feel. The assistant judge and the minute keeper stopped. The minute keeper shook and had to continue. Mixed people of the jury stood shocked and four of them that were bribed to give a false verdict scrambling to exit.
"Miss Leana Fallown. Or at least that was the only information available." The judge gavel throws hard and everyone takes their places. By the laws and nature of these spirit court, all were pulled seated by unseen forces.
"Trixie is preferred for this court." She softly respects the judge, she gestures in her oath and seated on the convicted criminal stand. She nods that all should continue as was. She sits with graces, hands folded at her front, head lowered in waiting and with respecting the courthouse and all it stands being.
"Ownership of Leana goes to no one. No red hand, dream cultist or book slavery. We leave things of the abyss to be alone. We do not normally invite them among us and we do not break the law of order made by gods." Among the jury spat fericely and plenty of the jury stand at this statement. And yet, not enough of the vote motion. The counter standing sides of both tables at the judges front stood. Both seated when the leader of the court eaters stood.
"Beloved Lady. We are tired." All the more of them came forwards, "Let us sleep." She nods respecting and soon raises her right hand over court monsters of wolf hybrids. Each turned to ashes and smile at peace. Each a pile of bones at rest. The materials raised towards and sunk through her whole body. A new layer of freak she becomes. She closed and hide back her right hand. The tome erased the chapter of wolf man from the current access. She back to her lowered respected waiting, hands folding back at her lap and bowed head listening. Erupting the room in chaos. The judge had to gavel harshly to get the room back to order. The only sound left about the place was the slabs of the floor itself has raised to eat unknown meat.
"Ersa shhh." Leana commands and the floor is quieter eating. Some of the snake body of Ragnar slide down and rub itself over the floor eating things. A slow mist lifted and tossed a strip of meat to the snakes. The snakes accepted sharing food. Plenty of them are eating across the court house quietly. Leana can only lean herself lower in knowing some of them were visible to folks if they looked. The gallery is gladly fixed on the court case.
"Sorry to summon you here for no reason on particularly. There isn't any broken anything to offer in tribute." The judge smoothing things over with Leana, "But it would seem you took a price regardless. It can't be helped." He nervous chuckles and his soul energy shines rays of deep colour's at particularly folks. Those he hates are colored red and those he felt sorry or worried are colored turquoise. There a few he was suspicious of in orange and yellow. She can see all these colour's the judge painted on these gallery and table men. She softly nods.
"The convicted will still be dealt with as they were before. You can't see them but they were always there. Stripping an angel of his divine identity or lifting a sinning soul from a conviction that wasn't his. These are a but a few of what my creatures here in services do. They can't be seen by normal means but it doesn't meant they arent always lurking." She confidently speaks in addressing all of the room, "Service for any work under shadows is filled out on the main message board of Nocturm. It is of myself or the system to approve and rank these requests. Most are automatically categorized and sent to the right beings." She softly lifted her left hand, "We are the cognitive backbone assistant of many major worlds. But you do not need to rely on us or care for our existence. Plenty more are best left in the darkness. So much more will become real if your stupid." She huffed, "Its not my place but I must. Very soon a shift will happen. And soon a new tome chapter of beings will plague upon us. Do as you will to survive. If you are devoured by them, there is a repair souls system at the moment notice. But once you are changed, you are changed forever. They have no souls. They have no concept of love, mercy or compassion. But you can teach them and they can become useful. But really that's up to you. You have the capacity of patience to make it happen, you get what you paid for. It doesn't change they are soulless. They no longer are those things if you give them souls." She sighed, "Once they become soul beings, they are a new type of dark creature from the abyss. They be under the category that shares with the other shadows." She crossed her arms, "Take this information carefully. I suspect the gods will have a fit over this."
"Heed taken." The judge made his own notes, "and what are these souls called."
"Dementors." Her voice rang loudly and plenty echoes offer. Muttering of the gallery and many already got uses for such slaves. She shook sad at these fools.
"Your missing something quite important. Why are they dangerous?" The judge looked to her, he had to know even if he doesn't want to know.
"They are a plague. They make more by the touch of a corpse. Be it demons or humans. Touch is all it takes. Touch is what they are gifted with. They are soulless, they can hear you. They hear your soul. They mean well but they misunderstand due to missing those key things souls have." She snarls, "For a human, they smell like a corpse and hunt in packs. They are speedy zombies that dont know personal space. Don't get me started about how a god eater said one tastes like. Ugh. Not me." She shook, "But it makes for some interesting murder cases. They literally will stand in a court rule and follow court law. You could have the victim of the case brought back to speak to you. Soulless corpse they are, retain their personality and living memories." She frowns, "Although the longer one is one. The scarier they are. Flesh melt off with time and they become creatures then thinking able beings." The judge finished his notes on this and sighs. He stares back to tbe current trial issues and the crazy these people are. He let's the tables bellow have a shouting match about her credibility and debate her sanity as a human. There even questions of if this is the real Leana. There plenty more trying to steal more information to sell her soul. Hoping any loose lips or papers can net them owning this pitiful girl.
"So you're a human among the living. Currently taken in by the human mage society. You have no wishes to returned to any side of your families." The judge being causal in his tone and speaks to her as a normal being, "You plan on running your own business exchange black sand, as seen the permits. You have wards against the coming days. Demons charms and amulets against angels. You not making hands with any particular kingdom of undertakers." The judge lays on all this matter of fact and has everyone shut up.
"I have plenty of business in hassling corpse trade; feeding my god eaters and the recycling of all parts into useful trades. In fact, I have enough materials to repair the debate god chamber from ceiling to lower basement. I have plenty of clientele who buy my bulk materials orders already. The shift isn't going to change them." She nods proud of herself and the empire of contorl she has. This universe has never needed her market and only really recently has it been anything at all, "The point stands that you have no need to play with the Abyss of unknown and abnormalities. There is no use or connection. But of you want to break the rules and welcome us, you be afraid of what you see." Shs smiles to herself, "So regardless of over my dead body or not. No one will have ownership of the abyss. You must know that it instead owns me and my friends. We welcome you if you want to join. But we have a price and we will take it."
"Dearly noted." The judge voices, "But what about you stance now as a human."
"I picked my place among mages. There is always plenty to supplies around them. I have to admit, I have my heart sold on a little slice of peace I am given. I will accept what life throws at me as a result of being stood beside my persons in the more dangerous job title. So as a human, until the day I die. I make do with this living hell I have. Cursed with eyes that see gods, humans, and spirits among each other. Gifted with the library category of tomes I am sold to. Chained in my hearts wishes and locked among the living realm in a meat suit. I haven't a complaints really, although I may sometimes curse back about it all. But I am enjoying my humanity and all its factors." The judge frowns a while in processing the complicated answer, as expected from a very human girl in a scary spirit shape.
"What is that thing? Why is it eating? What is it eating?" So the gallery have notice the creatures that came around her. There a thing made of bend realty of the floor at her feed, chewing the remains of corpses piled around the side from the wolves. There is snakes, bugs, reptiles and rats at war along the fencing of the gallery. There a massive mantis thing on the ceiling eating a white cloud, although at closer look them. They are rough housing each other to the point of trying to kill each other. Isolde not in her mock dog form is nosing dropped bits of Armour, swords and (she isn't sure where isolde is fetching these from) arms at gallery folks to plague fetch with. Her loki is a moo bird licking the paperwork on the tables. She slide a stare of Morpheus in his fountain of black wiggle mass knocking a glass of water off a table in front of an undertaker. Narly has peeled open a rift at the wall and has Tyr batting a corpse, defending Narly from the evil corpse peice. She almost had enough when she seen her chameleon's peel from the drawing world and eat bugs from the fence.
"Are you ok?" The judge asked with seeing how tense she.
"Just loving what I have and accepting the love they shower me in." Morpheus tots himself over and drops on to her lap. He stretched into a blob cat, leans his head into her hand. Once she starts scratching, he purrs and drifted into sleep. Disappears back to his world. Many did, because of him. Even Narly returned back the rift to nonexistent and everything is close enough to easier, "I accepted the loveless marriage contract with Omens follower. We act as a married couple but there isn't any plan for children. I have all the love I need with my creatures that love me back. I can't expect much from a busy man of faith. Devote to danger and close death experiences. Pen at the ready for when he doesn't come back from a suicidal mission planned by his peers." She wafted causally, "He didnt read the terms and conditions. So death will not be taking that soul and nor will Omens." The judge tilts at this, "We came from outside this tome, I dont expect this tome soul system to treat us the ways our souls need. We dont fit in and we dont belong. This is the least I can do to prevent disruption." The judge thinks deeply and came to his own conclusions.
"His soul must have been why you are trapped here too."
"Indeed. He is, indeed." She doesn't deny it, "Its how it is."
