Pei Dongshi's wine had mostly worn off. He leaned on the sofa, reluctantly watching some cartoons, and planned to head back to his room when his head didn't hurt as much.
"Come back to the Pei Family with me tomorrow at noon."
Nan Jiaojiao silently put down the fruit and looked up at him, "It's your own family. Can't you just go back alone?"
"President Hao and my dad are pretty close. He's already seen you. If I don't bring you back, my mom won't even let me in the door."
Nan Jiaojiao laughed twice, brazenly, "Why don't you beg me?"
His dark eyes narrowed, "Do you want to listen to yourself spouting nonsense?"
Nan Jiaojiao didn't dare mess with him, "Then I'll go out tomorrow morning to buy some gifts for godmother and the others."
Pei Dongshi's first reaction was horror.
He still remembers the first time Nan Jiaojiao went to the Pei Family, carrying a few hunted wild birds and rabbits, looking like a female bandit just down from the mountains.
