"No, no!"
Ye Wanting waved her hands frantically, "This is the West Gate, not the back gate. Our school has several gates, and the West Gate is closer to my dorm!"
Yaen Chi's ears perked up, "That's all?"
"That's all! Besides, you said you were at the West Gate, so I came around. I was originally at the first canteen, it's so far from here. I was worried the pancake would get cold and ran faster. How could you say that about me? I didn't mean to avoid you or anything..."
The girl was almost in tears as she spoke, leaving half a pancake uneaten in her hand.
Yaen Chi was just teasing her. He had grown up surrounded by women and had seen all kinds of temperaments, so he somewhat understood their psychology. But Ye Wanting was genuinely pure and couldn't take a joke. Just a couple of words from him had her so upset.
Yaen Chi felt really guilty, "I was joking, don't take it seriously, little sis. What am I going to do if you actually start crying later?"
