The night is cold. Yet all Ken feels is warmth. His heart is so full that he doubts it is overflowing. The thought of spending some time with the person who holds his heart in his palm after a long while makes him all giddy.
There is a spring to his steps as he slowly, yet skillfully moves through the dark hallways of his home. The moonlight that seeps through the craters of the window does a great job of showing light to his path.
Ken is an expert in sneaking out of his home at midnight, he has done it so many times that he lost count. But a slight fear still lingers in the corner of his mind, refusing to let go.
With smooth steps, he reaches the back door of the manor. Muttering a spell under his breath, he grazes his fingers at the lock, and the next moment it is noiselessly unlocked. He has successfully avoided the protection spell that is created by his aunt so that she wouldn't know about what he does.
