The city was in an uproar, and the area around the Teleportation Hall was a mess of shouting and clashing qi as fights kept breaking out.
"Move aside!" a pampered young man barked, shoving his way forward. "My father's the captain of the city guards—let me through!"
"Anyone who blocks me today… remember it. I'll come back for you," he added with a nasty glare.
"Jump the line? Over my dead body!" a cultivator snapped, charging at him.
"Stop—stop fighting! You'll damage the teleportation array!" a few people called out, rushing over in panic as the brawl grew.
"Idiots, all of you," someone nearby muttered, stepping forward with killing intent rolling off him. "Keep this up and I'll send you to the afterlife myself."
Amid all the brawling, several of the Teleportation Hall's arrays had already shut down.
That only trapped more people inside the city, turning them into easy targets for Lu Yi to rob later.
