Chapter 11 - CHAPTER 11

"Doesn't the famous philosophy say, 'There is a thin line between love and hate.'" I spoke.

"It does, but that would never apply to her." Antonio said.

"Yes, besides I like my freedom." Amber said.

"What do you mean by that?" Antonio asked.

"Exactly what I said. Your sister is twenty-five, yet all you brothers hover her around her as if she is five years old. Jordan doesn't have it any easier." Amber replied.

"We are like that because we are very protective." Antonio said defending himself.

"Hmm!" Amber snorted.

"Can we just eat in peace. If I knew it was going to be like this, then I should have gone and eaten at my boyfriend's place. At least there would be peace and quiet over there." Alex said to the two of them.

"She started it!" Antonio said.

"He started it!" Amber said as well.

"How old are the two of you seriously?" Alex asked with the sigh.

"That..." Antonio opened his mouth.

"One more word out of the two of you and I will take Aurora and leave with her." Alex said pointing with the fork at the two.

"Princess, your friend is mean." Antonio said laying his head on my shoulder.

"Grow up!" Amber muttered under her breath.

"What did you say shrimp?" Antonio asked.

"None of your business, pig." Amber said back.

"That is Aurora let's go, if they want to keep fighting let's leave them to it." Alex said slamming the fork on the table and stood up.

I stood up as well; Antonio quickly grabbed on my wrist.

"If you are leaving take her with you, I wanted to enjoy my lunch with my sister anyways." He said pointing at Amber.

"I'll keep quiet." Amber said stopping Alex from leaving.

Alex sat back down, and we just sat and ate in silence. Antonio and Amber were still shooting daggers at each other, but I ignored them.

"Aurora why are you wearing a scarf in this heat?" Antonio asked looking at my neck, I chocked on my food when he asked that question.

"I am feeling cold." I replied my hands tightening around the scarf.

"You are lying." He spoke.

"I am not!" I replied.

"Look at the sweat on your forehead." He spoke.

"Brother I am fine, really." I said with a reassuring smile.

After the meal, Alex went with Amber as Amber didn't want to be the only one in the car. I went with Antonio.

"Princess!" Antonio called out to me.

"Yes!" I replied.

"Are you in a relationship with someone?" He asked.

"No, what makes you ask that?" I asked him.

"Because you are secretive these days. It is like you are shutting us out." He spoke.

"Lately it is like being with us is not as fun anymore, to Aiden you are more like his first daughter than a sister, that is why he is so protective of you. To all of us you are like the precious thing, and we cannot imagine harm towards you." He added.

"It is not like that, it is just that I sometimes feel like you guys treat me like a child and not an adult. Brother, I know with the crazy ex made you all worried, but I just sometimes want to be treated like an adult." I replied.

Even though I knew my brothers were so overprotective, I still loved it.

"I always feel guilty that I am holding you guys back. Like now if I didn't go to that stupid club, you guys would not be taking turns to be driving me around. I know that you are all very busy and have to drop everything because of the mistake I did." I spoke.

Half of the words to him and the other half for myself. If I had not gone to that club, I would not have spent the night with my boss and land myself in this predicament. I would not be treated like a sex doll that he can call whenever he gets horny. The person that would end up getting hurt would obviously be me, I can try but if I end up falling for him, then everything is all over.
