Chapter 135 - RDD 134

RDD 134

"How's your brother?"

Penelope approached me.

"He is doing fine, as always. Sean and Mari will visit the house next time."

"Looks like I have to prepare some dishes to entertain Mari Mar." My wife smiled. It seemed that she liked Mari Mar's accompany.

"I think Charlotte's mother will show later. How about I cook some dishes for them?" She kissed my cheek and embraced me.

"Okay, I'll take care of the kids."

I assured her.

"Keith, my husband, we both know that you will only watch NBA while the kids are playing." She laughed.

"Well, at least I can see them."

"Okay fine. Take your time and relax."

"Are you sure you don't need me?"

"I like cooking so there's no problem. I'll bake some leche flans for the kids."

"I'm excited."

Just like that, I sat down and turned on the TV. Dads like watching TV and I'm a Dad, so I like watching TV. Is that a logical fallacy?

Never mind, I didn't even know the definition of fallacy anyway.

This time(Primetime) of the day has so many programs and we usually fight about which shows to watch. Thankfully, the kids were busy while Penelope was in the kitchen. I have all my time to watch NBA.

The broadcast of the NBA in the Philippines is always a delayed satellite broadcast. It means that the broadcasting has a gap of an hour.

If I'm watching the 1st quarter of the game, it means that it's already 4th quarter in the United States.

Surprisingly, I saw some basketball players that I recognized.

The Rim Destroyer, Shaquille O'Neal.

The Black Mamba, Kobe Bryant.

For obvious reasons, I smiled with tears in my eyes when I watch the L.A. Lakers match.

There's an important question that many basketball fans are rioting for.

Who is the greatest of all time (GOAT)?

Most of the time, fans will choose Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Lebron James.

In my opinion, it's either Magic Johnson or Larry Bird. The greatest rivalries of in NBA.

But I grew up in Kobe Bryant's era so Kobe Bryant has a very important place in my heart. He is one of my idols. I like his dunks and fadeaway shots.

And if we are talking about dribbling, I have to put my money on Allen Iverson.

These two are the basketball players I look up to back when I dream of becoming a professional basketball player. Unfortunately, my height betrayed me at 5'7 foot.

Ah, the good old times.

"Let's go! Black Mamba!"

I yelled so loud that Penelope came out of the kitchen and glared at me.

"Haha, sorry. My fault."

I apologized and my wife rolled her eyes. As for the kids they were at the garden, feeding the ducks and chickens.

When the 4th quarter arrived, I started hearing a siren. At first, I thought it was an illusion but a few seconds later, the siren became stronger.

"Honey."

Penelope came out of the kitchen and wiped her sweat. Just like her, the three kids stopped playing and listened to the sound.

I stood up and opened the door just to see what was happening. Then I saw a police car next to our house.

"Hm?"

I tilted my head but an idea already formed in my mind.

Just as I expected, a couple came out of another car.

The man was wearing a pilot uniform while the woman was in her white coat. The couple walked fast and reach our house.

"Mama! Papa!"

Charlotte saw her parents and happily ran to them. Her parents hugged her with sad expressions.

Charlotte's mother, Nicole, started crying when she saw Charlotte's innocent eyes.

"I'm sorry baby. We didn't know that you were suffering."

"Mama, being with you makes me happy!"

Charlotte announced and hugged her parents.

"Dajjy, is there a bad person nearby? Why is there a powice car?"

Sophia was confused why a police car was wee-wooing a siren at night.

"Sweetheart, come here."

I carried her and didn't answer her questions. There was no reason to. She is still a baby and I don't want to tell her about sensitive stuff like this.

Instead, we just watched the scene unfold.

The police entered their house and caught Nanny Bantot in her nightgown.

"Wait a minute! That's my nightgown! I was wondering why I can't find that!"

Nicole was angry when she saw Nanny Bantot wearing her nightgown.

"Let go of me! I said do not touch me! Don't you know who I am? I'm Bantot Estradiol! My cousin is a pilot! Now fuck off!"

The ugly woman struggled but she couldn't defeat the police.

"Where is your arrest warrant? This is not right!" She screamed.

"Ma'am we have valid evidence to arrest you."

"W- what do you mean?"

Nanny Bantot looked around and saw Nicole and her family standing a few meters away.

"C- cousin! Help! Help me!"

Nanny Bantot looked at Charlotte's father, asking for help.

"..."

Unfortunately for her, Mister Estradiol kept his cold gaze. He was staring at Nanny Bantot with hatred.

"W- What is happening!? I'm innocent! I didn't know what you were talking about! If you're looking for the missing jewels, it's not me! My boyfriend begged me to steal them!"

What? Damn Nanny, you're just digging your own grave. You surely are adding more years to your imprisonment.

"That's why kids, don't do anything illegal."

Penelope whispered to Sophia and Roman and I understand why she said that.

The two kids strongly nodded their heads and promised themselves that they will be righteous citizens who obey laws.

Nicole and Charlotte started crying while Mister Estradiol comfort them.

As for us, we helped them settle their emotions. My wife made them tea and snacks to calm them down.
