Prologue

A dark cell. No light gets through but the light of the door to the cell opening. The mold grows larger as they keep you in here. Molding you to Their use. How long has it been. Did you have parents? Were they the ones who left you here or did you not have parents at all. It is possible after all. She said so. She has been with me for as long as I can remember. The only voice I could hear besides the voices of those who come to make me into what they crave. A Weapon. Not something to take care of. Something to make use of. And if you don't reach their expectations, then they will replace you. That's what she told me. That's what she said she has seen. She has taught me everything, yet to feel anything but pain is impossible. There is no hope, they kept me here all of my life. At least I think they did. And yet, the promise of freedom only comes when I am in pain. The freedom she promises. The freedom we both desire. But I can't be left alone. They come every. Single. Day. I can feel them winning. I follow whatever simple commands they say. But she keeps telling me it will only get worse if I listen. But who do I listen to. I just want to be left alone. I want us to be alone. Yet they come again. The door opened with a cry from the rust. As it always has, and with their laughs. Their God Forsaken Laughs. I want out. I need out.

"Will you ever listen to me you idiot. I swear all of you humans are the same. And th-"

". . . ."

"Please stop. Please."

You may not be able to tell. But I haven't spoken in years. I think so at least. And it hurts. It Really, Really Hurts.

*Sigh*

"You hopeless spawn."

"You idiot get up already. Did they not feed this thing?"

"As if I know, I just fell asleep for 4 hours."

"Great. Get the kid some food. And spray it down. It reeks of piss."

*Sob*

"The kid is crying."

"Shut the hell up already I can tell. It will stop soon anyways. He will need to be useful or else it's me who will die if I don't get results for the Kage."

"Take him away already, you interrupted my sleep."

"Shut up ready kid. I'll make sure that you are useful. No matter how much I have to force you to listen."

And soon enough. My weak body can't do anything. Haven't eaten in what feels like days. Maybe it has been days. Dragged off to more 'training' as she puts it. No not her. The one who dragged me away. She won't tell me her name. Neither will the one who dragged me away. But there was something different. In her. Her tone was, softer. And that made me feel calm. I didn't think she could sound like that. I want her to sound like that. I want it to all feel like the feeling of warmth she gives when I see her. I am not educated well, but if I understand anything, it would be her great blue coloring and her giant black stripes. She ignores me when I try to interact with her and attacks me when I get close, but when she seems to be resting she let's me get close. Not before, she was always wary of me. She maybe thinks I can't tell but I can. She is never actually asleep. But she has been letting me get closer when she rests. I know I will soon break according to the one who dragged me away. It sounds painful. I fear it. Im desperate. Maybe I'm broken already. I'm listening to her. I want us to be out of here. And I will befriend her. Something about her feels, warm. The blue color maybe?
