Chapter 147 - A promise, he will not hold

Kim Yong Pov

After sending Alan in the hotel, telling him to explain that a demon wanted to attack the hotel and he saved them.

My Master took my arm as lightning gathered around my body.

"We need to talk about what you said earlier"

'Yeah what I said to calm you down, so that you do not destroy this entire city'

I lampooned, nodding my head to him saying that as he teleported us in the arenas VIP seats.

My mind is in a chaotic state whilst my Master is sitting silently on the couch of the VIP arena seats, letting me stand infront of the glass that is showing the blue glowing stage, shimmering through the nights light.

"Monster Yong is an appropriate title, knowing that you can somehow heal people with the darkness curse."

My Master his voice alone sends shivers down my spine, now adding to it that black lightning is crackling through the room, that all started from his black eyes.

"Tell me, what did you mean by you can heal my wife?"

His Voice slightly breaking, as his expression is softening probably thinking about his wife's smile.

I look around in the room, seeing it have multiple couches of red color, placed on different heights ensuring that everyone has optimal view on the stage, the room itself in a simple red color on the walls and ceiling.

I look at my Master, hoping that my answer would be what he wishes it would be... but that hope is going to get crushed.

"Sorry Master but right now my Mastery over my Darkness affinty isn't high enough... atleast not now"

His eyes flickered in me unknown emotions, his body somehow relaxed and his aura he exuded felt strangely calming.

He is looking at me with a determined expression, the lightning crackling in the room disappears slowly, as his black eyes for a short second had a light blue hue to them.

'Did I hallucinated that?'

"What do I need to do in order for you to achieve the needed mastery?"

My Master asked me with a serious expression, surprising me a bit that he not questioned me why I have the darkness affinity.

"Master... my Darkness affinity is special and I think stronger than the black entities one."

His eyes open in a bit of surprise but suddenly an enlightened expression appeared on his face.

"Kim Yong did you learn everything in the library and from your agencies about the earlier years?"

"Yeah"

"That explains the knowledge about my wife and the black entity."

He is putting his head on his forehead, pushing his hair silver hair back, while watching my every action.

"What do you mean by your darkness affinity is special?"

Master couldn't hold back his curiousity to ask that, looking at me with a... smile?!

"My Darkness affinity is so strong that any other affinity from it's family tree surrenders to me.

I can also annihilate any curse coming from Darkness however my control over it only allows it to use it on me."

My Master seemed to be in shock of me saying that any relative to darkness will be useless against me but... his face did not change so how do I know this?

"The dungeon you will enter after the tournament is probably for increasing your mastery right?"

"Yeah..."

I hesitated for a bit, not knowing if I should continue speaking and tell him about it or not.

Masters eyes now showed something akin to a burning desire to help me achieving higher mastery over it.

'I should tell him what kind of Artifacts will help me increase my understanding of it'

My poker face is plastering my face, my vision watching Master turning serious too as he reads something on his watch hologram.

"Kim Yong... don't tell me-"

"Yup I need these two artifacts to get stronger at an even faster rate, even if it means going insane or becoming a complete different person with psychopathic tendencies"

The rumored dungeon Shadow of the old warrior has two Artifacts that are not hard to acquire, however they destroy someone's mind or turn one into an uncontrollable killer, making it a dungeon no one wants to enter.

The two Artifacts are the Mask of the sealing and the Coat of one's shadow, the Mask of sealing would increase my understanding to it in an instant like Alans Aether mask, the coat would help me to control it and increase the amount I could summon.

But many don't know that these two are set artifacts bounded to the third artifact, which is the main artifact, that causes people to go insane.

My Master is looking at me with a worried expression like he already knew what I will ask him.

"I will not kill you, even if it means that I die from your hands."

He is saying with an angry tone in his voice... but I don't have a choice anymore to delay getting my hands on them.

"Master please promise me that if I ever start injure our people or ever turn into a psychopath hunting humans for fun without any reason to ki-"

I felt the atmosphere around us turning cold, his eyes now looking like a fragment of the abyss pitch black description in the Novel, so I quickly switched what he then should do to me and what could happen.

"Atleast beat me into a pulp and put me in some kind of prison... so that I have time to learn and win against it."

He is looking at me with a complicated expression from the red couch, that is trembling beneath him, his eyebrows are twitching up in a certain time frame, a vein popped out at his forehead showing his anger and his hands are trembling.

I waited for him to calm down and give me an answer to my question with a calm face.

After what felt like an eternity, he is observing my body and sighs out loudly, while he throws something to me.

"I will do it like you asked and beat you to a pulp after the group you build try to whoop your ass.

That Item I gave you will inform me when something happens to you, as in it is a spirit of the lightning element who Isn't weak nonetheless he will guarantee that I uphold the promise when it will come to it."

I smiled, heading towards the door, as I realised that this was the end of our discussion.

"Why do you want that copy cat?"

He asked from behind me, as I simply open the door, pushed it a bit more open than I needed.

"Because no one else wants to listen to his suffering as well as I can relate to his suffering."

Closing the door behind me as well as closing my eyes... knowing that soon I can't help anyone anymore and need to rely on others to help me.

'What a weird feeling... but it is not bad I guees'

I walk through the dark corridors, finding after five minutes the exit and see my Mercenary group waiting there for me moreover looking at me with worried expression.

"Do you want some tea next time when you reconcile with your Master?"

Of course everyone showed their worries differently towards me like our tsundere here Lilith.

In the sky, high above the clouds where one can see the countless stars in the sky, is sitting someone on his lightning with someone next to him sitting on a Mana made Armchair out of water.

The person next to the person sitting on lightning covers its features as well as its face with a cloak looking like the most pure and clear water on earth.

"Your disciple is really making me wanting him as my disciple too."

A not high but not deep yet strangely alluring and melodic voice, with a feeling of home in every word she speaks, is gently transmitting in the lightning emperors ears.

"He really is unique in every way... nonetheless I don't think that I can hold this promise Merlin"

A chuckle as melodic and charming is echoing in the air, calming the clouds loaded with huge amount of Mana, ready to explode at any moment.

"You really are a soft boy, for someone brave enough to have a child with a dragon.

He will overcome it in one way or the other, then he will make both our wishes come true-"

The person with the name Merlin hiding behind here cloak, struggles to keep talking as mini water droplets fall into the cloud.

The lightning emperor not minding that atmosphere, is thinking how his life changed for the better after he appeared, how everyone their lifes got better after he appeared and saved them... from their own created misery or circumstances forcing them to be this way.

'He really doesn't knows how much of an impact he has on everyone.

If he dies, it would probably be the biggest ceremony for someone in a grave that it as ever gave.'

These two watched the stars for a bit longer as both without a word vanish from the clouds.
