Second Brother:
"Yes, Dad. They've had a few beers... I think they're just drunk and talking nonsense. Don't mind them—go get some sleep."
Dad:
(Sighs)
"Alright then. Abhi, don't forget—you've got work tomorrow."
Abhi:
"Yeah, Uncle. I know. I'll head to bed soon.
Good night."
Dad:
"Good night, son."
(Dad walks off. Silence lingers for a beat.)
Yash:
(Tilting his bottle)
"Do we look drunk to you? I don't think we look drunk."
Youngest Brother:
"Hell no! But let's get drunk enough to justify this madness.
Bottoms up, guys—let's drink our asses off tonight!"
Everyone:
"Cheers!!"
Ishana (Inner Monologue):
God, I really need to forget what just happened… that almost-kiss, that embarrassment.
Just drown it all in beer, please.
"Cheers!!"
Abhi (Sighs, quietly):
Damn it. I missed my moment... Who knows when I'll get another chance.
"Cheers… to regrets."
Wife 2:
(Sipping her drink)
"Ughh, romance is literally in the air… and yet, nothing spicy happens to us!
So unfair."
"Cheers!"
[The party goes on, the night gets heavier, bottles pile up, and laughter fades into snores.]
[Next Morning – Terrace – 7:00 AM]
Mom (Narrating):
What are these kids up to? They didn't come down all night.
Let me go up and check...
(She walks up the stairs... and gasps.)
Mom:
"What the—WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!
Wake up!! Wake up, all of you!!"
Yash:
(Grumbling, half-asleep under a table)
"Ughh… who's barking so loud in the morning… My head is spinning…"
Mom:
"Barking?! You ungrateful brat! Get up!
Did you all try to drown your livers last night?!
Why are you under the damn table?"
Yash:
(Squinting as he crawls out)
"Mom, please… lower your voice. It's like a jackhammer in my skull…
And… I have no clue how I got under there."
Mom:
(Scanning the terrace in disbelief)
"Who's behind that couch?! Get up right now!"
Second Brother:
(Sitting up groggily)
"Huh? …Mom? Please, not so loud. I feel like my head's about to explode…"
Mom:
"Stand up and explain yourselves!
And who's that sleeping on the staircase?!"
(She storms toward the staircase, clearly furious.)
[Abhi's POV – Waking Up on the Stairs]
Abhi (Narrating):
My head… feels like it got smashed by a truck.
Someone's yelling… wait… is that her mom??
(He slowly opens his eyes, groaning.
He's on the staircase, lying flat, and... there's weight on his chest.)
Abhi:
"What the—?!
Why is Ishana… here?!
Wait… was she… sleeping on me?!
Did something… happen last night?!
Oh god—I don't remember a thing!"
(Panicked, shaking her gently)
"Ishana! Wake up! Wake up! Your mom is here!!"
[Ishana's POV – Waking Up Confused]
Ishana:
(Still half-asleep, mumbling)
"My head… who's shouting…?
What if it is my mom…?
Let me sleep a little more. I didn't even sleep properly…"
Abhi:
"Ishana!! I'm serious! Get up—this is not the time for jokes!
It'll be really awkward if she sees us like this."
Ishana (Inner Monologue):
Wait a sec… who am I even talking to?
Why is my teddy bear talking…?
(She opens her eyes—and gasps.)
Ishana:
"WHAT. THE. HELL?!
Why are you in my bedroom—NO WAIT—WHY AM I ON YOUR CHEST?!
WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT?!"
(She sits up abruptly, clutching her head and groaning.)
