When Tangze Asuka woke up, the trick that Hooked Kiss played on her had mostly worn off. Yet, she continued to sit dazed, clutching her knees in the corner of the cage, occasionally pinching her knuckles hard until every joint turned red.
She remained in this dazed state for several long minutes, only then realizing she had traveled through time and space, no longer in school, not even in Japan or on Earth, but all alone in another world.
In these quiet minutes, an overwhelming sense of loneliness and helplessness engulfed her, and she began to silently cry, her mind blank with no idea of what to do next.
Though her sobs were soft, neither Fisher nor Hooked Kiss were ordinary beings; they both sensed her distress but neither spoke. Fisher kept his eyes closed, meditating, while Hooked Kiss rested his chin, staring at the ceiling lost in thought.
