Her smile slowly faded. To hide her embarrassment, she reached back, smoothed the hair on her forehead, and finally revealed her hand:
"In my youth, I had the 'friendship' of an older man. He may have passed away now, but I still have some connections with his network. That's also why I'm so well-informed.
