"Dean!"
When Niel received Dean's call, her tone was one of surprise and excitement. Then, as if remembering something, she said coldly, "It looks like Mr. Dean has finally remembered he has a girlfriend."
"Sorry, Niel, your number is kind of hard to remember. Every time I think of you, it's like I'm slipping into early dementia, and all that's left in my mind is your beautiful face. You'll forgive me, right?" Dean said with a smile as he looked at the lights in his rental.
When Niel came to Los Angeles and couldn't find him, she didn't choose to stay in a hotel but moved into the rental that was ostensibly his.
"No, I won't forgive you!"
Niel, with a rare show of coyness, said, "Do you know how long it's been since you contacted me? I've been waiting for your call every day, but every time the phone rings, all I get is disappointment. I wanted to call you, but I was afraid I'd disturb your work!"
You could tell she was quite angry at Dean for not contacting her for so long.
