He found it somewhat absurd. His current status was extraordinary, allowing him to read many secret archives and materials inaccessible to ordinary people. But no matter where he looked, the world seemed very normal.
Yet, Carol nodded seriously. "I don't know if I should call them Mutants," she said, "but a long time ago, a mystical celestial event occurred. I've found references to it in the historical legends of many countries."
"What celestial event?"
Dean was intrigued. He had never been very interested in myths and legends, so he hadn't made an effort to understand them.
"The Blood Moon!"
Carol tossed a stack of collected materials to Dean. "Whether it's ancient Huaxia, ancient Egypt, or other ancient civilizations, they all have records of it."
Dean opened them and read:
"When the moon changes color, disaster will follow."
"Red shall signal war and strife."
"God shall send ten plagues..."
"Werewolves..."
