A Primordial Candidate goes through two major Tribulations before they are worthy to become Primordials, and the first was internal, where they validated their understanding of the Origin.
Usually, the Tribulation took the form of Judges, sentient constructs of the Origin, and they would test the candidate on their understanding of the Origin they wanted to embody, and if the candidates were astute enough to pass this test, the next test would come from Existence itself, where it would send down cleansing lightning to eradicate the candidate.
This lightning was the final test of the candidate's compatibility with the Concept, and if they would not properly wield the power to defend themselves, they would be eradicated, and the Concept would return to Existence.
