Wrong decision? Too late? What did she mean by that? What could she have possibly done to think this?
"I…" She sighed clenching her fists. "It was something I did back when I was the Emberin of Justice and Righteousness… I… I thought that I'd made the right decision…"
I listened silently, letting her tell the story at her own pace. I know how hard it is to share painful memories to others let alone being forced to relive them by doing so. It was better to let her speak when she felt ready.
"When… When I made that decision, I was so sure that I'd made the right call… But then, after she was…" Krytaraa hunched over and threw her hands into her head and began to laugh hysterically. "Haha… It was later found out that she'd been framed…"
I could clearly tell that this was something that weighed heavily on her conscience. Again, I know what that feels like, and it just eats you up from the inside, tearing away all that is good in life until it's all you can think about.
