In the Shadow Void Land, the Overseers and Maximus were in another gathering, discussing the recent turbulence at the frontline.
"Have you deduced how the Black Sigil is blocking your Omnis, Maximus?" Luxion, the Archon of Light, asked with a frown.
Just a while earlier, an unusual number of Overlords died on the frontline.
Initially, they didn't think much of it, as such losses were natural. However, when they noticed not a single Overlord managed to escape or teleport back, they quickly sensed something amiss.
Upon deeper investigation, they discovered the death rate of Overlords had risen to over 30% in the last couple of hundred years.
Setting up multiple ambush points, they managed to catch who was causing the trouble: the Black Sigil.
"I've deduced it. They seem to be using concentrated particles of chaos and dark energy, destroying the Omnis at different frequencies," Maximus said solemnly.
The Omnis were adaptable but not invulnerable.
