Since it wasn't a wave of flames, that meant that the flames were concentrated into a single pillar and it was much stronger than before. At the same time, since there wasn't as much space that was needed to travel through, it meant that it was much faster than before.
So the pillar of flames reached the mutated orcs in an instant, even more than usual since they had come so close.
The mutated orcs seemed like they were caught off guard by these flames and they had no choice but to take it head on with their bodies.
When they chose to take it head on, it seemed that they threw away their weapons and seemed to grow their muscles.
