Away from the Merman Empire, away from the mortal plane, high up in the divine realm.
"Lord Aquaron, was this really the best way to do this?" Aestum said in a hesitant voice.
Aquaron, who had been silently observing the mortal world, didn't respond at first.
The way that they looked down at the mortal world was as if there was something that caught their eyes.
After a long silence like this, Aquaron finally said, "There was no other choice. It certainly wasn't the best way to do this, but it had to be done."
Aestum looked like they were feeling doubtful of this, but there was nothing that they could say since Aquaron was the one that said this.
After all, Aestum was one of the minor gods under the water dominion that Aquaron ruled over.
Even if they were both gods, there was a difference in status between the two of them.
Even among gods, there was a ranking between them that determined which one was higher than the others.
