The appearance of multiple giant monsters in Shimotsuki has caused panic within the Council.

Though Ryueki couldn't hear anything from inside his solitary confinement, he could sense that everyone in the base was panicking.

As the numbers of the monsters slowly grew.

The Agents within Shimotsuki began saving the people.
Kotori: Everyone is frozen in fear, this won't do!
After seeing that her classmates were all frozen in fear upon seeing the monsters suddenly appearing.
She knew that everyone has to be evacuated, immediately.

She turned into her demonized form and flew out of the window before shouting in a very loud voice.
Kotori: EVERYONE STAY CALM FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE AGENTS! WE'RE GOING TO EVACUATE SHI—

Without her noticing, a giant winged monster got to her with it's mouth completely opened intending to devour Kotori.

The ground shook as the Beast Knights charged towards the monsters.

Kotori knew that they didn't have much time because the monsters numbers were steadily growing.
Kotori: EVERYONE! PLEASE EVACUATE MATO HIGH!
She turned to Mato High and commanded everyone in it to evacuate.
???: LET'S GET OUTTA HERE!
???: WHERE ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GO?!
Obviously the students were all panicking not knowing where to go once they evacuated the entire building.
"Attention all students! Be careful when evaluating so no one would get hurt"
So Querxes used the PA system to notify the students on where to go.
"Once you left the building follow individuals who bears the symbol of the Council, the shape of the symbol is a cross with four wings!"
Querxes: Alright. The students will hopefully be safe.
With Querxes's announcement done, he and Kirin were now being questioned in the staff room.
Principal: Querxes-sensei what is happening?

The Higanbana girls and Itsuki & Keiko began running away from Mato High and the fight.

Miku's, Shino's and Sachi's homes were far away from the area the monsters were appearing from just like Natsuki's and Yuuka's homes.

One of those monsters attack had hit their homes.

Natsuki started running there first, followed by the rest of the Higanbana girls.

Kirin: One of those monsters had used a blast and from the direction it shot... It was most likely aimed towards the suburban area where your home is located in.

Realizing that her family as well as Shino's and Sachi's families could be in serious danger.

Kotori knew she had to go back as soon as possible.

As they began to slow down, Miku realized that non of the former insect familiars came out to fight when the attack originally began.

Shino attempted to summon Yanma, but she didn't appeared.

And when Yuuka attempted the same thing, Heikei didn't come to her as well.
Sachi: Maybe they had went back on their own.
Chikao: Yeah. They must've seen the attack and came out while still in their original sizes.

They were interrupted by a monster that was running towards them.

They began running, but because they were nearly exhausted after running so far.

The monster was able to catch up to them.

It opened it's mouth intending to devour them all.

Before they would get eaten, they were all saved by Miracle and Mo-chan.

Mo-chan: But we have to get home quickly!
But clearly they were in a hurry.

Miracle: One of the attacks earlier had hit our homes!
Shino, Sachi & Miku: What?!

Miracle: ... We're unsure, your homes were all destroyed.

They flew towards their homes as fast as they can.

They flew high and all of them saw from above the chaos that was happening in Shimotsuki, many houses were destroyed.

When they were getting closer, a swarm of giant flying monsters began raining fire towards the ground.

Miku became so traumatized she began coping by imagining her, Sachi's and Shino's homes were all fine.
Their parents and Kaneki safely evacuated, something she desperately needs to see.

Once they arrived, all of them were horrified.
Sachi's and Shino's homes were both flattened alongside the Higanbana household.

All while the rest of the former insect familiars were fighting nearby monsters and Atsuo and Aiya desperately trying to find Kaneki.

Miracle and Mo-chan came down to Atsuo and allowed the Higanbana girls, Itsuki and Keiko to get off.

Upon their arrival Miku went to hug her parents while Sachi and Shino questioned them about their parents.
Shino & Sachi: Is my Mom/Mom and Dad okay?!
Aiya: They're injured but their safe, the agents have evacuated them already.

Both of them calmed down, but immediately panicked again once they remembered.

They all looked towards at what was the Higanbana household.

Chikao went to the rubble and began searching through to find Kaneki, and her friends soon followed.

Each and every one of them searched hard to find him.

After removing more debris, they uncovered most of his arm which had the bracelet that the Higanbana girls had bought for him the previous day.

Ku-kun who was fighting the monsters crashed nearby as he was getting overwhelmed.

Seeing the six of them barely even able to stand up from the injuries, they looked towards the direction they came from.

Knowing that they had a limited amount of time before the Beast Knights and Kotori would be overwhelmed, everyone began digging even more desperately with their hands.

Everyone on the ground had gotten on top of Yanma who was big enough for everyone to ride on.

Because of Kaneki's command the everyone couldn't turn back even if they wanted to.

Hearing a loud boom, they all looked behind them to see...

They all saw Kaneki was being hanged by the hands of one of the monsters.

He was cruelly smashed at the ground until his body was covered in his blood.

They tried begging for Kaneki to not be harmed.

Sadly no begging was going to save Kaneki.

While most of them screamed and cried loudly after witnessing Kaneki's body was torn apart and was eaten by the monsters which had killed him.

The Higanbana girls, seeing the boy— the friend they loved enough to think about having a future together with, dying before their very eyes.
