Towards Bai Wen's statement, Lin Yu Heng asks—
"Ultimately, the Leng Bing Realm will be gone, correct? Bai-daren, as the-?"
Cutting Lin Yu Heng off, Bai Wen says—
"I don't give a shit about this stupid world. Others may see it as Ling Yuan Zi's greatest masterpiece, but to me…"
Shaking his head, Bai Wen adds—
"It's just another piece of crap from eons ago."
Heaving a sigh, Lin Yu Heng remarks—
"Maybe, it truly is time for change. My Lin branch has always been loyal to the Ling Yuan Ancestor, but… In all honestly, I really can't care much about someone who isn't around anymore. The only people I care for—are those in my bloodline branch."
Following Lin Yu Heng's remark, Qing Ming Yang sighs as well, as he gets off the ground, and says—
"For me, I only care about my elder brother."
Turning to Long Hua, Qing Ming Yang continues to say—
"Senior, regarding what you had asked of me from before. I have my answer. I'm not going to wait here—only to be turned into someone else's resources. I'm going to escape from this giant prison, and turn those that dare to chase after me into my resources instead."
Chuckling aloud, Long Hua raises his right hand, to which, Qing Ming Yang takes out the jade slip from before, and respectfully places it into the former's palm.
Carving the rest of the Chaotic Five Essence Hand's details onto the jade slip, Long Hua tosses it back to Qing Ming Yang.
Turning to Yao Ying, Long Hua asks—
"And you?"
"…I'm still a bit confused by what is happening. But… I want to live a normal life. That hasn't changed."
Getting off the ground, Bai Wen says—
"Lao Long—gathering all of us here, it can't just be for this; you've got some other objective in mind, right?"
Smiling with amusement, Long Hua replies—
"As a part of my work contract with that Nian beast, I was supposed to make the people of this world feel unrest towards Immortals. It's rather difficult to do that alone, so I figured that I might as well bring the rest of you in to assist me. Also, the third ruin that is directly beneath the first two, the entirety of it is basically a colossal device that is used to fire Spirit Extracts off. What do you think the materials used to make that device is?"
"…"
Refilling his cup, Bai Wen replies—
"Alright then. I'll admit, just the cauldron alone might not be enough. Especially so, if when this world collapses—that cauldron ends up being blown apart. If we can acquire that entire city's worth of materials, we should have more than enough. The spares can be sold off for spirit stones and immortal jades—those can be used as fuel later on. Of course, this is assuming that we don't expand the vessel further than the blueprint that I currently have in mind. …You still plan to activate the device, I assume?"
Snatching the wine pot from Bai Wen's side, Long Hua drinks directly from it, and replies—
"Why not? The stronger the weapon spirits of this world become, the more they'll be able to whittle down the rest of the Ling Yuan family's old fogeys. Once that happens, snatching the cauldron would be easier, won't it?"
"You really planning to screw this world over hard…"
"Naturally."
Massaging his temple, Bai Wen replies—
"I'm going to go and explain everything to Lao Zhen, and get them to send over some assistants. We can't possibly hope to carry an entire city's worth of supplies out with just this group. I'll teleport them over when you've reached that area."
"I'll see you later then."
Snatching the wine pot back from Long Hua, only to discover it emptied, Bai Wen tosses it aside—prior to leaving through a dark rift.
Turning to the three practitioners, Long Hua says—
"Right, with all that out of the way, let's talk about your upcoming tasks."
Seeing the snake-like smile on Long Hua's face, the three instinctively took a step back.
Ignoring the three's reactions, Long Hua says—
"According to a certain crimson-haired woman, the first purpose of the frontlines is to apply constant pressure on the weapon spirits, so that they may grow. With that said, your task is to turn this ruin into the frontlines—when I deem it appropriate it to do so."
"Ah, that's…-? With our numbers, that doesn't seem possible…"
"Senior, isn't that a bit too unreasonable?"
Towards Qing Ming Yang and Lin Yu Heng's concern, Long Hua replies—
"No need for you all to be concerned about numbers. I have that covered. For now…"
Raising a storage pouch and opening it, Long Hua dumps out a giant stack of spirit stones, and continues to say—
"Surnamed Qing, surnamed Lin, I expect you two to break through into the Nascent Soul realm with this. As for you, little girl—if possible, get to the peak of the Core Formation realm."
Having said this, Long Hua leaves the room with Tian Cheng, as the three look to the former's back with an expression of awe.
"This is how a real man behave."
"Un."
Towards Qing Ming Yang's words, Lin Yu Heng nods his head with a solemn expression on his face, as he remarks—
"An air worthy of a man—who is able to screw an entire world over."
"…"
Recovering her wits, Yao Ying looks to Qing Ming Yang, and asks—
"Surnamed Qing, what did that jade slip contain?"
"Hm? A divine art, what about it?"
"…"
Hearing this, a sharp sense of sourness wells up in Yao Ying's heart—causing her to chase after Long Hua.
