Chapter 294 - The Silver Greatsword

"Where did he go? How did he suddenly disappear again?" Newton felt a bit helpless watching Li Yue vanish.

"He didn't disappear. He's going to fight the monster! Look, there he is!" Lin Yurou excitedly pointed to the sky near the giant beast, her voice full of excitement.

"Huh?" The other three followed where she pointed.

What they saw left them utterly astonished. "He can fly? Without any devices? Is he Superman?" They were already amazed when Li Yue disappeared before their eyes, but seeing him now flying without any assistance was even more shocking.

...

Li Yue floated about a hundred meters before the Godzilla-like monster, his eyes filled with curiosity as he observed the beast's movements without attacking immediately. With every step the monster took, tall trees and tiny houses were instantly reduced to rubble beneath its massive feet. Luckily, it appeared on the island's outskirts, where few people resided. The few who were nearby had already fled upon the monster's arrival.

Until now, the monster hadn't caused any human casualties, but if it continued, it was only a matter of time before it harmed someone. However, with Li Yue ready to intervene, the monster would have no chance to hurt anyone on the island.

This monster resembled Godzilla and differed from previous kaiju in some ways. Aliens' kaiju often seemed underdeveloped, their bodies not matching their enormous size—standing almost a hundred meters tall but weighing only two or three thousand tons. Recalling Ultraman's universe kaiju, Li Yue remembered that such massive creatures typically weighed over ten thousand tons.

He wasn't sure if this was due to the different universe settings or if there was something peculiar about this world's kaiju. Nevertheless, their lighter weight made them more accessible for Li Yue to handle with his strength, which had yet to reach ten thousand tons.

...

After observing the monster for a few seconds, Li Yue found nothing unusual. He had Xiaodai scan the monster's body and compare it to the Razorback Turtle's internal structure, finding no significant differences. The only notable difference was their appearance.

"If I hadn't witnessed this monster's formation process, it would be nearly impossible to tell that it's made up of many smaller dinosaurs," Li Yue marvelled. This kind of technology appeared in "Pacific Rim 2," where tiny spider-like creatures combined three Category 5 kaiju into a single Category 6.

With no significant findings, Li Yue decided it was time to take down the monster. He planned to fight it properly this time instead of using a ki blast.

...

Li Yue's right arm suddenly transformed into a silver metallic state and quickly reshaped into a longsword. "It's been a while since I used this ability. But a sword of this size would barely scratch such a large monster," he thought. The ability to transform his body into an adamantium-like metal was something he hadn't used in a long time. The sword initially formed was less than a meter long, too small for a giant monster.

But Li Yue was prepared for this. The sword in his right hand rapidly expanded, growing over ten meters long and nearly half a meter wide in less than a second.

...

"Where did that enormous sword come from? This is unbelievable!" The onlookers were stunned to see Li Yue in the sky wielding a giant sword that appeared out of nowhere. Even Lin Yurou, knowing some of Li Yue's capabilities, was amazed.

"Now this should be enough!" Li Yue was pleased, swinging the enormous sword through the air, creating a sharp whistling sound. With this sword, he could fight the monster properly. He didn't want to defeat it in a single blow with a ki blast.

Li Yue explained the sword's creation in his near-perfect control over his cells. He could create the giant sword by rapidly increasing the number of cells in his right arm and enlarging them. He felt he could even make it bigger if needed.

...

The massive monster paused its movement, noticing Li Yue and his giant sword. This tiny human was not to be underestimated. Its large eyes fixed on Li Yue, showing a cautious awareness.

"Didn't expect you to be so perceptive," Li Yue noted. This indicated that the Category 5 kaiju was more intelligent than the Category 4 Razorback Turtle. But this didn't deter Li Yue; he immediately charged at the beast.

He rushed towards the monster with incredible speed, brandishing the enormous sword.
