Beyond just Renovatio, Nous Systems was doing exceptionally well too. For now it only licensed the Co-pilot OS for automobiles which earned him millions of dollars as time passed. Every company under him may not have an actual substantial physical address beyond his house at the moment.
However it was still a business, the various documents on his table proved such. He may have the ultimate helper in the world in the form of Nous but ever since the reveal that it wasn't omniscient, David had begun to question a lot of things he had assumed about it.
Was the A.I even sentient as he had assumed before, that was a rabbit hole of its own but at the end of the day Many of the papers on his desk were related to the company, he may have the ultimate helper by his side but there were many things he couldn't allow Nous to handle alone.
