"so what are we going to do next young master, shouldn't we go back to the camp?" Lina asked. For some reason, she seems happy seeing my flustered expression.
"we will but there must be something valuable in this place let's look into it for useful thing" I insisted, yet I do somewhat have a bad feeling about this, I'm not certain what could this ominous feelings be.
We look into the 3 rooms that is in here, the front room must've served as a temple for worship as well as a research chamber, the other two is a prison cell and an experimental room. Or maybe just a torture room for experimentation.
We look in every nook and cranny but we only found 3 things that are valuable and i could feel that these things exude a strong aura, 2 were grimoires and one is an ominous item I might say, a tainted holy artifact, an holy grail that is corrupted and has dark grim in it.
It exude a slight holy aura yet covered with suffocating darkness, one grimoire seems more of an elemental aura, it was called essence of golem creation. And the other one is a pure darkness energy, it's title or name i could not read, and this one is locked already tried opening it, even attempted with using those one of torture devices, yet none had worked, i gave up trying as it was not important for the moment.
This place is really a gloomy, the prison cell had many bones in it, they've probably decomposed because of the undead soul formation. The experimentation room still screams of agony and anguish, for those who have wrongly conducted in it. Those seeker of knowledge bastards must've conducted human experimentation in this place.
This place look straight out of an horror game, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a ghost in here, I hope it wasn't just my imagination that I feel like someone is watching us, I feel chill running in my spine just by thinking about it, I do really hope it was just Lina.
"young master I think we should really go, let's not stay longer i don't feel good staying in these place" i somehow see her worried yet feared expression, she wasn't scared of the skeleton horde last time, i wonder if she's really scared of ghost?
"i also don't think we should stay here any longer, everyone is waiting for us so let's head back before something bad happens" I also do feel a bad feeling, i am worried about the camp's situation.
"young master, I understand why you brought the book about golems but the other 2 is exuding in dark magic, didn't you said you hate unholy object such as items that exudes darkness?" she threw me off guard to the question she asked me.
Does the original Felix really hate unholy objects? I didn't know that! Now that I think about it I just realized that box that contains some of Felix personal item back in the camp really exude a very strong holy aura, did he really collected so many holy items. I wonder what did that box contains, i didn't have time to open it ever since coming in this world.
"ah that, i was just taking it so that those bastard from seeker of knowledge doesn't lay their hand on something dangerous, W-were just taking this since I thought it might prove useful in our journey" I cracked a smile trying to come up with an excuse, I already made a lot of suspicious action! What if she found out I'm not the original Felix, I hope she won't try and kill me.
"oh that makes sense" she replied with a smile it's as if she really do understand my point.
I'm already sweating buckets, I wonder if she's really convinced or just acting dumb, either way as long as I convinced her. With her personality I don't think she will harm me even if she found out the truth.
We talked while we walk, we manage to arrive outside of the cave, feeling the scent of fresh air instead of the suffocating environment of the poisonous fog.
Although, this was a forest, they're are a lot of dead trees than I thought.
We saw our stead beside the a nearby tree we're we leash it.
"young master, someone's coming" Lina alarmed me, i do hear a loud galloping of a horse coming towards them.
"wait, they're not enemies" I stopped Lina from unsheathing her weapon, knowing there's no way a monster could ride a horse.
The sounds of the hoaves galloping draws even nearer until I heard someone shouted from the distance.
"Milord!!" a soldier on horseback arrived.
As he arrived he saddled down and kneel towards Felix and spoke nervously
"milord, it's an emergency! The camp is under attacked! We needed you back"
I, Felix was simply shocked. Didn't expect for us to be ambush by monster once again, just what did we do for them to keep attacking us.
"were attacked?! Then who was the one commanding the troops?"
"rest assured young master, the deputy General can do the job" Lina replied.
"y-yes sir morth is leading the army and i was ordered to notify you, lord felix" the soldier answered.
Morth? Now I recalled, Felix does bought a twin slave from 4 years ago, it's morth and Judith. I trained them and put morth as a deputy in charge of the troops while Judith is taking care of the mage unit.
