Chapter 3 - CHAPTER THREE

A night with the king~

It was another day at the palace since the arrival of Queen Elizabeth. Everyone was talking about it at various corners of the palace, how the king formally welcomed the new queen.

One could not deny that Queen Elizabeth's beauty was alarming and provocative, although very few people had seen her face; there was no doubt that she was a ray of sunshine.

At the palace, two men came to see the king. King Arthur appeared to be waiting for them in the throne room.

 "Your majesty," they bowed.

These men looked more like travelers; one had dark, short hair that fell right above his eyebrows, the other had brown hair; both were carrying a travel bag, and they were actually twins. Gemini twins.

"You told me two weeks, "The king spoke, resting his shoulders and looking at the two men in front of him, dagger drawn."Why did you make me wait for a whole two months?"

The question was followed by a sharp stare from the guard beside the king, who was wearing a mask.

Although King Arthur wore a calm expression, the two men knew better than to mistake it for anything else.

My king, please do not be offended by our delay in the schedule; it wasn't our intention to deceive the king. However, it was inevitable as we found it difficult to access the queen, your majesty, we had no choice but to stay a little longer and find a way to reach out to the queen," the brown headed man spoke, heads bowed.

King Arthur took a deep breath, trying not to lose his temper; the last time he did, the kingdom suffered twelve days of darkness.

"Were you able to have her audience?"

"Yes, my king. After weeks of trying, we finally broke the barrier surrounding her. But there was something... we felt, for the first time, a great power and energy surging from her sleeping body. The queen had grown more powerful than before. We felt instinctively scared, your majesty. We couldn't approach her. Fear gripped the elders in the room.

The queen was known to be a very powerful being while she was alive, until the great fall, when she fell into a deep slumber from which she never woke, but still lives. How could she be growing so powerful in her slumber?

"While we contemplated our next course of action, the queen spoke to us, eyes closed, but her lips were moving; we couldn't hear a thing. We figure that since we've come this far, we might as well go back with a message, so we combined our powers and cast an interpretation spell on the queen." The brown headed man pursed.

 "What did she say?"

"On this very day, when fire and water shall no longer be still but wage war against each other, when the sun and moon intertwined and become one and the day turns red, when the earth trembles and the mountain collide, he shall come AGAIN, from the flames comes dust and from the dust comes the charcoals and from the charcoals he shall arises. No one shall be prepared until they see the vengeance on his sword and fire in his eyes, you wouldn't see him coming, says the KING, " the man with the dark coloured hair spoke.

The sound of thunder was vivid, a heavy wind blew through the palace, and the cloud was gradually turning into a storm. The king tightened his fist so hard that his veins almost popped out, his eyes were filled with rage, and so was the storm outside raging to destroy the kingdom. The king was angry.

"How dare she! How dare he! He dares to threaten me, I will destroy them!" The king sprang up from his throne, with eyes bloodshot, ready to kill.

"Quickly create a barrier over yourself," the guard with the mask shouted from behind the king. Everyone quickly took cover for safety as they tried to calm the king.

"My king, she also said something, "one of the men who was a twin said, evidently struggling with the force pulling him back. "She said that, he shall come again except he be killed with the blazer sword, then he shall wait for him in the afterlife."

 The storm calmed.

Everyone was incredibly moved by the rage that was poured out by the king, so that some of them even fell, and some were panting.

"The blazer sword," the king mumbled, as if trying to make it stick to his mouth.

Suddenly, a guard alongside a maid rushed into the throne room.

"My king...pls forgive me," the maid spoke, looking terrified. One of your wives was struck by lightning, Queen Elizabeth."

The king looked up and saw the maid half in tears. It was the maid's duty to take care of the queen, and she had failed.

"Have u called the physician?" The king asked in a strangely calm voice.

"Yes, my king. Please forgive me, my king, it was all my fault, I forgot my duty and created a protection upon myself, I didn't think about her majesty, pls forgive me," the maid begged.

"And what do you have to say for yourself?" the king asked, referring to the guard beside the maid, who was no other than Cristal.

"I wasn't present when the lightning struck the queen. She had sent me to arrange for her things to be moved, but I share some of the blame for what happened to the queen. I shouldn't have left her side," Cristal spoke humbly and submissively.

 The king stood up.

"My king..." one of the council elders called out to the king.

"Take me to the queen, I'm going to spend the night with my new bride." The king walked down from the throne, and the guards paved the way for him to exit the room.

 "Yes, your majesty," they bowed.
