Jian Dan stood at the doorway, anxiously waiting for Chu Liyuan.
"Uncle, I'm sorry. I didn't expect things to turn out like this."
"Why are you apologizing?"
"I made you look like a cheater!" Jian Dan lowered her head, filled with guilt, as she spoke.
"I've never cared what others think about me, as long as Jian Jian knows the truth."
"Uncle." Jian Dan threw her arms around Chu Liyuan's waist.
"What's on your mind?" Chu Liyuan hugged her back and glanced up at Qiu Zimo.
"Looks like we're thinking the same thing," Qiu Zimo said with a faint smirk.
"What riddle are you two trying to solve now?" Jian Dan pulled back from Chu Liyuan's embrace and looked curiously at the two men.
"Jian Jian, some things are only fun because they remain unsaid," Chu Liyuan teased, patting her head dotingly with a smile.
"Then what should I do?"
"You don't have to do anything. Just follow along with how the plot is developing right now."
"Huh?"
