In the evening, Kuaikuai came alone to Jian Dan's room.
"Mom, are you asleep?"
"Not yet!"
"There's something I want to talk to you about!"
"Come on!"
Jian Dan and Kuaikuai sat on the bed facing each other. "What do you want to say?"
"I want to have a heart-to-heart with you, Mom!" Kuaikuai put away the usual coldness.
"This must be the first time Kuaikuai has come to me for a heart-to-heart! Suddenly, my Kuaikuai isn't cold anymore; it's a bit hard to get used to!" Jian Dan smiled and stroked Kuaikuai's little head.
"Mom, are you unhappy?"
"Aren't we talking about you? How did it come back to Mom!"
"Isn't a heart-to-heart supposed to be about sharing each other's concerns?
Well, I'll go first. Despite often arguing with you, deep down, I'm truly grateful to be your daughter. Although sometimes you can be quite scatterbrained, it hasn't affected how much I love you; it actually makes my love for you even stronger. So what I want to tell you is, Mom, I love you!"
